WWE DX Invasion @ O2 Arena

Toni, Sam, Aaron and I went to the O2 Arena tonight to indulge in some sports entertainment in the form of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstars as part of the DX Invasion tour.

It was a really fun night and much better than the last time I saw the WWE live (well actually they were still the WWF when I went last)

Photos aren't great due to having to use digital zoom but below are the matches and a few of the best-ish pictures

1) Chris Jericho won a battle royal to receive a WWE Title match with Cena in the main event.
The match also involved - Big Show, Chavo, Chris Masters, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, MVP, Randy Orton, Santino, Sheamus, Ted DiBiase and Miz (plus anyone else I may have forgotten).

2) Paul Burchill beat Hurricane Helms.

3) The Miz beat MVP to retain the US title.

4) Melina & Gail Kim beat Jillian & Alicia Fox.

5) Evan Bourne beat Chavo Guerrero.

We then had a brief intermission. Some kids in the row in front made some awesome signs, especially this one:

6) Randy Orton beat Kofi Kingston.

7) D-Generation X beat Legacy.
This was the one that everybody had been waiting for and the crowd went wild when the DX music started.

8) John Cena beat Chris Jericho to retain the World title.
Jericho started with his usual tirade against the audience only to be hit by some idiot throwing a glow stick at him. He was then showered with them and got hit in the face. Not what I had expected to see!
This was an awesome match and Sam and I had great fun chanting Y2J in support of Chris Jericho much to the dismay of the Cena sheep sitting around us. As the match went on the chants for Jericho got more and more which was great to hear.

INCOMING!

Following the awesome entertainment we went and refreshed ourselves at Frankie and Benny's before heading back to Toni's for much needed sleep!
