Smackdown, Tekken 3 and bloody Windows Vista

Disappointing day at work. It was a lovely sunny day and we had hoped for some good news but sadly it was not forthcoming and so now we have to wait as no indication has been given as to when it will be. Patience may well be a virtue but it sucks having to wait!

Got home and watched Friday Night Smackdown and enjoyed pitta pizzas. Once we had indulged out wrestling habit it was time to crack out Tekken 3 for some old skool gaming fun! The graphics looked a bit ropey on our huge HD TV but I had forgotten how much fun the game was!

I had a few things to do so fired up the laptop only to find that Vista was now deciding NOT to see any of the shares on my Windows 7 machine. Spent a couple of hours trying to resolve them but got absolutely nowhere so in the end resorted to upgrading the laptop to Windows 7 as well. Sorted! Stupid bloody Microsoft and stupid Windows Vista! I almost resorted to going Ubuntu on the laptop but decided that at the moment there are far too many Windows things that I am hooked into to give up a Microsoft OS altogether. Might consider a dual boot soon though to give it a good workout.

Yer might want to put a live boot version of Ubuntu (or whatever: Mint is quite nice) on a USB thumb drive and boot off that. That way you can keep Windows on the hard drive.
