Late start, To Wong Foo and Superman movies

There were no early starts today as we got up pretty late. We had breakfast and watched To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar.

Superman The Movie (extended Donner version) was next up on the list. It was interesting watching this and seeing a whole load of scenes that had been axed from the theatrical version.

Taking advantage of an empty house we then popped round the corner to Rishta and treated ourselves to an Indian meal.

Suitably fed we then returned home to Superman II (extended Donner version). This one made much better viewing than the theatrical version with some of the many plot holes at least being partially fixed and various questions being answered.

The Superman fest continued with Superman III. I'd completely missed how much slapstick and silliness there was in this take on a Superman story. Not to mention dangling cherry nipple tassles! That sad though, evil Superman is pretty cool (especially the way his clothes turn a darker shade of Supercolours)! Angry Clark Kent is also a bit of a giggle!

Needless to say we couldn't go to bed without rounding things off with Superman IV: The Quest For Peace. Definitely not the best in the series but mildly entertaining nonetheless! Well, very mildly! (For mildly entertaining, read shite - Toni)
