Our weekend took a slightly different turn after all the good things as we learned that Sophie had been taken into hospital with her asthma. It must have been the heat that triggered it. She was in a bad way and took a turn for the worse as she was taken I to ITU.
At this point we changed our plans, arranged to have today off and headed from Leeds to Nottingham to see her in the hospital. Thankfully she did replacing well to the treatment in ITU and was soon back on a ward again.
It was good to see the slow improvement over time. She was very lucky as they almost had to put her on a ventilator. It certainly raised the old stress levels a little that's for sure but at least the recovery was slowly coming.
