Well it seems I spoke too soon about all of Pam's transport logistics being sorted out. We were up early today and got Pam ready for 12:15 as had been requested of us as she was going to be picked up between 12:15 and 13:00 ready for her 14:15 appointment at Moorfield's. At 13:00 there was no sign of anybody so Toni called up the organiser of the transport. They told her that somebody had turned up to get Pam at 12:30. Toni queried this but it transpired that despite the booking sheet having been set up to use OUR home address, the person entering everything into the system hadn't updated things so the transport had turned up at Pam's in Bexhil! DOH!
Some profuse apologies later (at least they bothered) and we had to cancel the appointment today as there was no way that transport could get to us in time so now we have had to rearrange another appointment. Sadly this is not done dynamically as it has to be referred to the doctor's team so now we have to wait to find out when it is before we can look at booking the transport again! We'll be ringing every day until we have confirmation on when it is! Things really shouldn't be this difficult! This is all really starting to become one hell of a saga!
Fortunately Pam wasn't really phased by any of this and has settled in well at ours and seems to be doing well.
