Ant-Man

Making the most of our Cineworld Unlimited cards Toni, Sam and I were off to Bexleyheath tonight to see Ant-Man. Going into this one was a bit odd as it was a character I knew nothing about and I really didn't know what to expect.

Brief synopsis......Forced out of his own company by former protégé Darren Cross, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) recruits the talents of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), a master thief just released from prison. Lang becomes Ant-Man, trained by Pym and armed with a suit that allows him to shrink in size, possess superhuman strength and control an army of ants. The miniature hero must use his new skills to prevent Cross, also known as Yellowjacket, from perfecting the same technology and using it as a weapon for evil.

As I have come to expect from the Marvel Cinematic Universe this was another polished and well made film. It ties in nicely to the current story arcs and doesn't take itself too seriously while maintaining important messages at the same time. Lots of cameos from characters from other arcs help to tie them all together. This is a film that is great fun and I really recommend it. If you do go you really must stay until the end of the credits!
