Frustrating day, Minion Hat, Hell's Kitchen and Rangers win

It was a very frustrating day today but also mildly amusing. I won't bore you with the details but it ended up with me having lots of Gordon Ramsey style quotes sitting at the front of my brain wanting to leap out and take shape! Fortunately I am a professional and kept myself in check rather than going upstairs and saying, "You, you and you, just fuck off!" *grin*

Toni made an awesome Minion hat which Sam loved and took great delight in modelling, even though it wasn't the best fit LOL
I'd picked up on a new series which we decided to give a go, Ash Vs Evil Dead. We expected some good comedy but there was a little bit more horror and gore in there than we had expected which was a little too much for Toni.

Here's the trailer for anyone intrigued by this new series:

To get Toni back in the zone we spent the rest of the evening watching the remainder of Season 12 of Hell's Kitchen. We just had to make our way all the way to the end as it starting getting really exciting. The only down side is that's the end of it and there are no more to watch after that.

Our day turned into a long one as we watched the New York Rangers take on the Washington Capitals. Rangers opened the scoring taking the 1 - 0 lead at 07:59 with a wrist shot from Oscar Lindberg. Capitals tied it up at 1 - 1 at 15:45 with a snap shot from Ovechkin. Kevin Hayes put the Rangers 2 - 1 up at 17:46 with a nice snap shot. First period ended with the Rangers leading 2 - 1.  Shots on goal were NYR 9 and WSH 8.

01:53 into the second and Kevin Klein makes a beautiful wrist shot to push the Rangers 3 - 1 up after successfully killing off a penalty. After some frantic defending over a long shift the Rangers get another break and Derrick Brassard put the Rangers 4 - 1 up at 06:59. Capitals grab one back to make it 4 - 2 at 18:53 after a massive period of offence. The Rangers almost made it 5 - 2 but the puck crossed the line just after the buzzer went. Second period ended with the Rangers leading 4 - 2. Shots on goal were NYR 2 (11) and WSH 14 (22).

The Rangers came out flying at the start of the third. The Capitals mounted a strong attack but Lundqvist stood strong. Having missed out on a power play opportunity the Rangers then went 5 - 2 up with a corker from Jarret Stoll at 10:53. Both teams had good chances as the period progressed. Third period ended with the Rangers winning 5 - 2. Shots on goal were NYR 10 (21) and WSH 12 (34).
