Enter James Gunn and The Suicide Squad. James Gunn not only managed to keep the dark and gritty DC feel while injecting a bucket load of humor into the mix. The Suicide Squad was to DC what Guardians of the Galaxy was to Marvel. This writer was very excited when it was announced that James Gunn would be taking on a spin-off television show using the Peacemaker character. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjnG5dOZWb-YrlF4CUKXcpuZ7bLr16cP8-0E-ySfNUjoCWvITaryz4Dmc83Og4YXZQT3M5dvU-06mvTaiTMERUOjMLPlHx3QK3eoZ6_4FnLbcrAx5h9_m-C-__TyeKvNnjYvM5F1AKwLfeW0_zVo4sDTvwIXQP8iTNKlQfOj71p_ujIIJQmEQ=s1280" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjnG5dOZWb-YrlF4CUKXcpuZ7bLr16cP8-0E-ySfNUjoCWvITaryz4Dmc83Og4YXZQT3M5dvU-06mvTaiTMERUOjMLPlHx3QK3eoZ6_4FnLbcrAx5h9_m-C-__TyeKvNnjYvM5F1AKwLfeW0_zVo4sDTvwIXQP8iTNKlQfOj71p_ujIIJQmEQ=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div>Read the full article here:</div></div><div><a href="https://www.cultureslate.com/news/28iupxu1ixqefwp8d6buz0sgn30255">https://www.cultureslate.com/news/28iupxu1ixqefwp8d6buz0sgn30255</a></div>KT Glitzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09692826662308764153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20482190.post-79265875472573153182022-02-08T19:50:00.001+00:002022-02-08T19:50:06.656+00:00The Reason Why Luke's Lightsaber Changed From Blue To Green In 'Return Of The Jedi'<div>In A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, lightsabers were presented as either blue or red. Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber had a blue blade, which became associated with the Jedi, as did the one that he gave to Luke Skywalker. Darth Vader, however, had a red lightsaber, which then became forever associated with the Sith. This all changed in Return of the Jedi when Luke Skywalker had built himself a new lightsaber. His new lightsaber broke away from the established color standard that everyone had come to expect as this one was green. However, all of the original posters and promotional material for Return of the Jedi had Luke Skywalker using the traditional blue-bladed lightsaber. Luke Skywalker's blue lightsaber even made it into the trailers. Based on this you can imagine the audience’s surprise when the actual film had Luke Skywalker using a green-bladed lightsaber rather than a blue one. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiVSrRsxZUxozFTACqpC4VSzRAp8ko5LyGfqb-NUUzfWzsZ8xQDJ1wZd9pWkzOUbHUXTvfSs0Gw_AewawYmmPhrozHmvWcssw8yZj_50K402lFMuw-0kuNU8KbaJCnZpC9yjrQ9YlrMyp7TvZ7-93XIJzaH4LBWgfaRbocagd8hinStphgszA=s1280" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiVSrRsxZUxozFTACqpC4VSzRAp8ko5LyGfqb-NUUzfWzsZ8xQDJ1wZd9pWkzOUbHUXTvfSs0Gw_AewawYmmPhrozHmvWcssw8yZj_50K402lFMuw-0kuNU8KbaJCnZpC9yjrQ9YlrMyp7TvZ7-93XIJzaH4LBWgfaRbocagd8hinStphgszA=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Read the rest of the article here:</div><div><a href="https://www.cultureslate.com/news/kx7kcdpvg4ir8p723j33o6a7xofyw8">https://www.cultureslate.com/news/kx7kcdpvg4ir8p723j33o6a7xofyw8</a></div>KT Glitzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09692826662308764153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20482190.post-48392772517462170902022-02-03T21:50:00.002+00:002022-02-03T21:50:17.942+00:00The Most Brutal On-Screen Lightsaber Death In All Of ‘Star Wars’<div>There is no denying that Star Wars and lightsabers go hand in hand. The lightsaber quickly becomes one of the most iconic weapons of all time. If you see a glowing blade anywhere these days, there are very few people that would not immediately think of Star Wars. Space wizards with laser swords are what it is all about. Across the Star Wars franchise, we have been treated to many glorious lightsaber fights. The debate still rages on as to which lightsaber fight is the best with each of the three trilogies offering up at least one candidate for the title. There is a lot less talk though about the deaths that were inflicted with a lightsaber and how that is represented in live-action Star Wars movies and television shows. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh5B62z9ohYG-haRWl9VCMFuxBAOffaqvp7z98cBUQ9Ru0IDlpwZqNi2FIqGb6nCod4BlsbZIxK2iN0L-x_3A7jk0zMR-280j1uej3-beKAEh4rrQK5uGNFrBm6DLqEp0YlaMREyh4SlnwrsSvsK-r9h7OuOFRFXR63shY7KX1j051L67jobQ=s1280" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh5B62z9ohYG-haRWl9VCMFuxBAOffaqvp7z98cBUQ9Ru0IDlpwZqNi2FIqGb6nCod4BlsbZIxK2iN0L-x_3A7jk0zMR-280j1uej3-beKAEh4rrQK5uGNFrBm6DLqEp0YlaMREyh4SlnwrsSvsK-r9h7OuOFRFXR63shY7KX1j051L67jobQ=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Read the full article here: <a href="https://www.cultureslate.com/news/1klbqu8nuo1kpb94b36apdrh34nxhc">https://www.cultureslate.com/news/1klbqu8nuo1kpb94b36apdrh34nxhc</a></div>KT Glitzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09692826662308764153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20482190.post-593885844529905902022-01-23T21:03:00.004+00:002022-01-23T21:03:50.554+00:00Does This 'Leaked' Trailer Prove A Knights Of Ren Project Is Coming?<div>Anyone with even a passing interest in Star Wars projects will be well aware that the secrecy around them is phenomenal. It’s because of things like this that it appears interesting and diverse. Over the years we have gotten to know these creatures and monsters and learn more about them through various layers of media. One creature/monster that we don’t know too much about however, is the sarlacc. The sarlacc was first introduced to the Star Wars universe in the 1983 movie Return Of The Jedi. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjsYq_W2qe5Eun7SI9HUBuc8aEVl29dnsDVRsO_48xNf_fDuUzUABzFwuCDt304rHK-gJDvPj0hSS7WSRL8tBItjwMbvsN3DcEnr7nNCM9k0_xxb_ymz0sKy4kgOX-TkXuxl9P9hfaOCPQ6e2rH49fUvD0pSHRnBhGyJpOHNeTOFgWtuFDfYw=s1280" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjsYq_W2qe5Eun7SI9HUBuc8aEVl29dnsDVRsO_48xNf_fDuUzUABzFwuCDt304rHK-gJDvPj0hSS7WSRL8tBItjwMbvsN3DcEnr7nNCM9k0_xxb_ymz0sKy4kgOX-TkXuxl9P9hfaOCPQ6e2rH49fUvD0pSHRnBhGyJpOHNeTOFgWtuFDfYw=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Read the full article here:</div><div><a href="https://www.cultureslate.com/news/facts-about-the-sarlacc-you-didnt-know">https://www.cultureslate.com/news/facts-about-the-sarlacc-you-didnt-know</a></div>KT Glitzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09692826662308764153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20482190.post-63753471381062569062022-01-14T18:27:00.006+00:002022-01-14T18:27:50.637+00:00Rumor: ‘KOTOR’ Remake Will See Relatively Small Changes To Gameplay But Story Will Remain Untouched<p>Back in September of 2021, Star Wars gaming fans were delighted to hear that Aspyr Media are going to be releasing a remake of the BioWare/LucasArts classic game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for PS5 and Windows PC, with release for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One at a later date . The years that time forgot (or at last would like to forget). So many plans and events were cancelled to postponed (and then postponed again) and most of us spent a lot of time at home and not seeing friends and family.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEim_OKNVVjpob_DBGbkGLMe55P_Rq223DdcNwfLenQeKQIYh3OFHt-cDYKGhitlwt4ae89fCKmG6a1uFwMEMLXimIpsWk8N7p0cKsyIhaX24XquxH1k58Vc_b1I40YBy_aYTBtrShdmgwS2ybo-auM0Yuz6DlVxZgUSciQrZMydSSP98g8zCQ=s3000" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2402" data-original-width="3000" height="512" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEim_OKNVVjpob_DBGbkGLMe55P_Rq223DdcNwfLenQeKQIYh3OFHt-cDYKGhitlwt4ae89fCKmG6a1uFwMEMLXimIpsWk8N7p0cKsyIhaX24XquxH1k58Vc_b1I40YBy_aYTBtrShdmgwS2ybo-auM0Yuz6DlVxZgUSciQrZMydSSP98g8zCQ=w640-h512" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p>It feels like things are shifting and although the Covid-19 pandemic rages on it feels like things are slowly improving (sort of). I am not counting my chickens though as I suspect things might still take a turn for the worse.</p><p>It's not all been bad though as I have really enjoyed the change of pace and I absolutely love being able to spend more time with Toni. It was a bold and dark move to create a movie with new characters facing peril through out, culminating with them all dying for the cause by the end. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEin0ggZ534xKNOhk4kV6l9CLMNN_FUWu5BdCwOjp29D_ZXPhYk4NnksY-TKyCcCPNuHYY7AKCrzbCn1EpXCczu-uOrCMoLVMHXKSa_Uy18R7n_N5yCNHpO2490W4A5fJb24IiWdbyeyw-sjcMNj89qqiZwkScbNoR39K3llbeaJm_QiYI5Qjw=s1280" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEin0ggZ534xKNOhk4kV6l9CLMNN_FUWu5BdCwOjp29D_ZXPhYk4NnksY-TKyCcCPNuHYY7AKCrzbCn1EpXCczu-uOrCMoLVMHXKSa_Uy18R7n_N5yCNHpO2490W4A5fJb24IiWdbyeyw-sjcMNj89qqiZwkScbNoR39K3llbeaJm_QiYI5Qjw=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><p>You can read the full article here:</p><p><a href="https://www.cultureslate.com/news/9hxmvr43dg1p7qxmde85hur830ce14" target="_blank">'Rogue One' Director Admits Attending Secret 'Star Wars' Meeting During 'Godzilla' Filming</a></p>KT Glitzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09692826662308764153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20482190.post-4451278738414505642021-12-25T07:19:00.009+00:002021-12-31T11:21:05.722+00:00Frohe Weihnachten, Merry Christmas, Yuletide Wishes & Season's Greetings everybodyFrohe Weihnachten, Merry Christmas, Yuletide Wishes and Season's Greetings to all my family and friends. We have seen them from the start with Darth Vader in A New Hope, Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace, and Count Dooku in Attack of the Clones. There is even a glimpse of one in The Rise of Skywalker with Dark Side Rey. On the other hand, Palpatine is only seen using a lightsaber in combat once in the all the movies, in Revenge of the Sith. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgVVWFcQqrYGklbTJVrhf5m0wNKQWwrWaS74XxqpTDfyAA7gPUHmkJ0Z8fFD7w7kZywFWv7pwkN7a6CECdaQpd4rYRst6k6ykgs0p9HQEALZFJ9huguWdiu4WDiCFBbyqJPdpp1LXaCiA3EFpjQPS3PA-wRKt46CpCgB-DRVj08ZbT0SLpd-g=s1280" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgVVWFcQqrYGklbTJVrhf5m0wNKQWwrWaS74XxqpTDfyAA7gPUHmkJ0Z8fFD7w7kZywFWv7pwkN7a6CECdaQpd4rYRst6k6ykgs0p9HQEALZFJ9huguWdiu4WDiCFBbyqJPdpp1LXaCiA3EFpjQPS3PA-wRKt46CpCgB-DRVj08ZbT0SLpd-g=w640-h360" width="640" /></a></div><p>You can read the full article here:</p><p><a href="https://www.cultureslate.com/news/why-palpatine-felt-lightsabers-were-beneath-the-sith" target="_blank">Why Palpatine Felt Lightsabers Were ‘Beneath’ The Sith</a></p>KT Glitzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09692826662308764153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20482190.post-37435597865716926312021-12-08T11:07:00.007+00:002021-12-31T11:16:39.918+00:00Why Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm, And Disney Didn't Ruin Your Childhood - Culture Slate<p>Most people can remember the first time they watched a Star Wars movie. I was going to start by being clever and saying it wasn't long ago. However, Star Wars first burst onto cinema screens in 1977, 45 years ago, so I guess it really was! Everything kicked off with that one movie. I have been a Star Wars fan since I first saw A New Hope in 1978 when it had its mainstream release in the UK (well, it was just Star Wars back then) and have been swimming in movies and TV content ever since. It's not necessarily all been a good thing, though. So which is better, the movies or TV content? </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgb2p8Bzq7RcQDZV0tRUGNaXjzHnDDdFOY8-zvM7Y3MUUkWISnJ6E9x53mSre2UhPUDYnyoNkvV4SDZKmYuZpO9RIksRzJw8I-Lr_F37kyAz8YBwhKU9w-ZrRr5SjzDwvOKQyCdrmzl0ZM9jSuyE-teoc9aGLKPlnOd9vbOBwUMen2l7rn_rw=s1200" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="680" data-original-width="1200" height="362" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgb2p8Bzq7RcQDZV0tRUGNaXjzHnDDdFOY8-zvM7Y3MUUkWISnJ6E9x53mSre2UhPUDYnyoNkvV4SDZKmYuZpO9RIksRzJw8I-Lr_F37kyAz8YBwhKU9w-ZrRr5SjzDwvOKQyCdrmzl0ZM9jSuyE-teoc9aGLKPlnOd9vbOBwUMen2l7rn_rw=w640-h362" width="640" /></a></div><p>You can read the full article here:</p><p><a href="https://www.cultureslate.com/news/star-wars-movies-vs-tv-which-is-better" target="_blank">‘Star Wars’ Movies vs TV: Which Is Better? </a></p><p><br /></p>KT Glitzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09692826662308764153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20482190.post-71428913135260883592021-11-25T11:00:00.009+00:002021-12-31T11:03:55.591+00:00Theory: How Did Padme Really Die? - Culture Slate<p>Medical droid (about Padmé): Medically, she's completely healthy.
