It was with great sadness that today it was revealed that my birthplace had caught fire and took many hours for the fire brigade to get under control and need to tap the local lake to get more water. This is the third fire in recent years at the now unused RAF Hospital Wegberg in Germany. Police have said that they suspect it was arson (again).
