Last day, Chamber Of Secrets, Prisoner Of Azkaban and The Mandalorian

Today was my last office full working day until January! It wasn't particular manic and I had lots of time to close out tasks that I didn't want to carry over. Fingers crossed I don't get any escalation calls between now and the new year.

We continued our Harry Potter quest with Chamber Of Secrets......

....... followed by Prisoner Of Azkaban.

Today was also the last episode in season two of The Mandalorian. What an episode that was! Loads of fan service. If you watch it, make sure you watch all the way to the very end of the credits, it's worth the wait!

Less frantic, Rammstein, The Mandalorian and Miami Ink

Today was a little less frantic after the nightmare that was yesterday. Final preparations were made for the migrations this weekend and I managed to spend a good chunk of time getting my new work laptop configured.

Musical accompaniment for today was Rammstein.

The latest episode of The Mandalorian is out and boy was it a good one. This one really channelled a full Star Wars vibe. So much I want to talk about but won't as I don't want to give any spoilers!

The rest of the evening was spent chilling out and watching more Miami Ink.

Exercise, the day off that was not a day off and The Mandalorian

So today didn't really go as planned. I did 20 minutes on the treadmill first thing and did a few hours work even though it was my day off and had planned to at least relax for the rest of the day. As you can probably guess things did not go as I wanted and I kept getting dragged into various emergencies so I pretty much carried on working for the rest of the day. Grumble grumble. I have now pencilled in next Wednesday for a break and it will be phones off all day!

After work it was time for the latest episode of The Mandalorian and what an episode it was!

Now that was a really good episode, it's all coming together very nicely now!

Good day, gym, The Mandalorian and Botched

It was a good day today. Planning and progress continues and finally some of my team members seem to be reacting to things at a speed that I would consider reasonable. That's not to say that there weren't a couple of hiccups but we are definitely heading in the right direction.

At lunchtime Sam and I did a good work out in the gym which gave me an extra boost. 

After work it was time for the latest episode of The Mandalorian. 

This was a really good one that had a much more Star Wars feel to it than some of the previous episodes. 

The story is slowly developing now and I can feel some excitement building for me. More post Empire stuff please as I want to see more Moff Gideon!

Finished the day off with another dose of Botched!

Minor progress, The Mandalorian and The Return Of The King

Today was not a complete disaster and neither was it massive triumph! There was however minor progress made a glimmer of hope for things going forward on this big project so that's good. I am working for a short while tomorrow but this means things are coming along.

After work it was time to watch the latest episode The Mandalorian. This was a good episode getting us to the plot again with more Mando and a lot less of The Child, plus some Imps too! 

We finished out Middle Earth quest tonight with The Return Of The King. 

Looooong day, The Mandalorian and Tattoos After Dark

It was a looooong day today. On top of my normal working day I ended up having to cover the last shift due to an emergency with one of my team members. These things can't be helped but it wasn't what I wanted after the week I have had as I had been hoping to finish early today. Oh well LOL.

I did get some breaks though and so there was time to watch the latest episode The Mandalorian. This was a great episode. Not a lot in the way of story progression as such but it was great fun. 

Once work was done there was more Tattoos After Dark. 

Now it is time for the weekend...........

Day off, Miggi's, The Mandalorian, Sixth Sense and Four In A Bed

Really enjoyed my day off today. Didn't get up until after ten and ignored anything related to work 99.9% of the day. It actually felt like I had a day off. Toni and I went out for a nice breakfast at Miggi's. I then spent a lot of the day reading more Star Wars novels.

The first episode of Season 2 of The Mandalorian dropped today so needless to say we watched that. So glad this is back again! It kicked off really well! So may nice homages to the past. No spoilers here though :)

Halloween countdown day thirty came in the form of Sixth Sense or as I like to call it, Titanic? Huh? you say? Icy dead people I reply. Groan...... you're welcome, no apologies!

The chilled out feeling continued with some car crash TV as we returned to Four In A Bed.

The Mandalorian Chapter 2 (no spoilers)

Today the next part of The Mandalorian was released (with it now falling to a regular Friday spot).

Keeping this spoiler free so all I will say is that it gets better. The music this time in was more Star Warsy which made me very happy. There were lots of cute things about this instalment with some humour thrown in with the grit. It is certainly living up to it's promise. Lots of people saying this is the best Star Wars thing since Lucasfilm was acquired by Disney. Not sure I agree with that (but then I loved The Last Jedi and Solo) but it is very very good.

The Mandalorian Chapter 1 (no spoilers)

Disney+ launched today and with it came Chapter 1 of the Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian.

This long awaited show certainly started well. It has a really good Star Wars look and feel. If you like Star Wars and you like Westerns then you'll love this. I can't wait to see how things unfold. My only real criticism would be that the music for Chapter 1 was not as Star Warsy as I would have liked. It's a minor grumble though.

Disney+ finally has a UK release date

Better later than never I guess but it has now been confirmed that Disney+ will be available in the UK on March 31st 2020.

It's a bit of a shame that DisneyLife have not updated me with this news (especially as I have an open query with them regarding the future of that service). At least I know when I'll be able to cancel my DisneyLife and move over to Disney+ unless they actually decide to offer a transition plan. We shall see on that front.

Roll on the Star Wars, Marvel and general goodness, cannot wait!

Vanity Fair have just dropped a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars TV series on Disney+, The Mandalorian.

Disney have just released some gorgeous new promo pictures for their Disney+ Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian.

November 12th is fast approaching and I can't wait to see what this show has to offer. Disney also released a brand new trailer.

I'm really excited to see what they do with this. A lot of money has been spent on making it so I hope it lives up to the hype. Preview feedback has been positive so far so I have a good feeling about it.

In Marvel news it has been confirmed that Spider-Man is back in the MCU and Disey and Sony have now come to an agreement of some sort. We have Tom Holland to thank for this:

Disney+ and The Mandalorian poster

It's a little over six weeks now until Disney release their new Disney+ streaming service. Still no news on when it will come to the UK so I'll be signing up early just like I did WWE launched WWE Network to make sure I can pay for it and watch from day one. They've just released this beautiful poster for their first Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian.

Hopefully it won't be long before we get news of when Disney+ will launch here and also what they will announce for current subscribers to the Disney Life service. I am currently subscribe to that and Disney+ will largely supersede it but at present we have no idea if it will run in parallel or we'll be migrated over. I'm sure it will get set down eventually I just hope we are treated well when it comes to the transition.

November is slowly approaching and very soon we'll see the launch of Disney+ (well in a lot of places except the UK, we have to wait apparently). As such there is lots of PR doing the rounds on for their upcoming shows. On the Star Wars front this will see the release of The Mandalorian so Entertainment Weekly have been giving it a bit of coverage.

It's all exciting stuff and I think I have found a way to sign up for Disney+ at initial launch just like I did with WWE Network prior to to the UK launch (and yes I will be paying for it so this is no free/pirate thing).

Jon Favreau announces working title for new Star Wars live action show

So we finally know what the new Star Wars live action show is going to be about. Jon Favreau has announced that it is tentatively title "The Mandalorian".

Whilst there are little other details available at the moment at least we have some idea now. Favreau did mention the following:

"It’s at least tentatively called “The Mandalorian”. For the unfamiliar, Mandalorians are a group of warriors in the Star Wars universe. The most famous Mandalorians are Jango and Boba Fett, though Favreau notes that this series will focus on “another warrior. It’ll take place “after the fall of the Empire” but before the First Order shows up; in other words, after Return of the Jedi but before Force Awakens."
