Didn't get up until 09:30 today which was a real novelty as normally I am awake long before that and end up just getting up. Decided to jump on the PS4 for some Marvel's Avengers single player fun. It's a game that I can take slow and steady which is perfect for me. Very happy as I now have Iron Man to toy with!
We nervously started watching the New York Rangers v New York Islanders game from last night. It was nervous due to how badly the first game went. A very encouraging first period ended with the Rangers leading 2 - 0. Second period continued to build well and ended with Rangers now leading 4 - 0. The Rangers won the game 5 - 0. It was like watching a completely different team so hopefully thy are now passed opening night nerves and are settling down as a team.
We then moved on to the Carolina Hurricanes v Detroit Red Wings game. This was much closer game until the final 2 minutes. It was tied 2 - 2 and then Detroit had a surge and they won the game 4 - 2.
Dinner today was a roast chicken that I had marinated in a Nando's peri peri sauce. I was amazing even if I do say so myself LOL
Despicable Me 3 was the movie of choice tonight for some Gru and Minions goodness.
We finished the day off with some more NHL catch up and then some Miami Ink.
I woke up this morning and just did not know what to do with myself. I fancied playing a game on the PS4 but couldn't decide what. Went through various options and nothing appealed, most annoying. In the end I settled on Star Wars Episode I: Racer. It was brief but fun. This is pod racing!
Having a quick browse though Netflix it looked like there were a number of shows that have new seasons out but as we always watch stuff together I had to not indulge and wait until we were all gathered. That was a pain LOL.
Decided to check out what was on Apple TV+ and found an interesting documentary called Fireball: Visitors From Other Worlds which explores how meteorites have impacted our planet’s landscapes and cultures. It was pretty good and had some stunning visuals.
The afternoon was spent mixing up Nailed It and Botched.
Then disaster struck as I suddenly started experiencing some really uncomfortable feelings gourd my lower back and hips. I thought maybe it was due to lack of exercise so went and did twenty minutes on the treadmill but that didn't help. Toni give it a massage, I drank loads of water but still it continued. Ended up diving into the bath for an hour where i got some reading done and drank loads more water. It felt much better when I got it but continued to feel tender afterwards. I am putting it down to dehydration for now so we shall see how things are tomorrow.
It was back to more botched before it was time for another Christmas movie with dinner. Tonight we watched the wonderful adaption of Terry Pratchett's Hogfather.
It was baking day today and this batch came out beautifully.
As it was early and nobody else was up and I decided to get on the PS4 and spark up my Marvel's Avengers game. I had wanted to get this game when it was released but it was way too expensive for my liking and some of the reviews just didn't justify the price. I decided to bite the bullet when I saw it on sale for more than 50% off. So far I am very happy with this purchase. Spider-Man set the bar fir super hero games really high so I was not expecting a miracle. As it stands though it a fun game, nice switching between various Avengers and it is great to have an introduction to Ms. Marvel who will soon be appearing in her own TV shows and the upcoming movies. It's certainly no Spider-Man on the gameplay from but the story is strong, the graphics are really good and it's an enjoyable Marvel romp.
It turned out to be a bit of a draining day for one reason or other but it did bounce back and then we went to Tattoo Fixers for some relaxation.
Today was my day off in lieu of Friday and I was determined to NOT end up working! I got up and made coffee and then fired up the PS4 and play some Star Wars: Squadrons and some Vampyr.
Lunch was fried egg on toast and by this point I had only replied to one email so that was a result!
We dug out the Miami Ink DVD box sets and start watching it from the start of Season 1. Chris Nunez (of Ink Master fame) looked so young!
After a good night sleep I was up pretty early today. Made myself a cuppa and then went and reorganised a few things in the garage as we are soon going to be housing a treadmill as part of our exercise equipment. Hopped on the bike for a short while and then realised I need to get back into the garage gym regularly in the week as I can feel I have definitely gone backwards from a cardio and muscle strength perspective.
I did a quick bit of work as some shit was dumped on me yesterday that had to be actioned. Technically it wasn't my responsibility to make sure the work was scheduled but in the interest of the wheels running smoothly I did it just so we don't end up with pain once clients start working tomorrow.
It was then time to relax so I started up the PS4 and began playing Vampyr which I had just downloaded for free courtesy of PSN Plus.
It's a good game. Not really fast paced which suits me down to the grown with a story that slowly unfolds as you progress.
The rest of the day was spent chilling out and watching Season 3 of Best Ink.
Busy morning today. Up early, cleaned the bathroom and then did some work before going with Toni for her to get her flu jab. We got back and had breakfast.
Landlord came round to replace the shower so from tomorrow we now have the excitement of being able to use it and have proper showers again rather than the rubber hose shower mixer tap attachment in the bath! This is the next level of excitement after being able to wash up with proper hot water LOL.
Day ten of Halloween countdown started with the classic vampire versus werewolves movie Underworld.
We did a bit of car crash TV with Four In A Bed and then Toni went to have a rest as she was feeling a bit rough after her flu jab. I then caught up with a load of wrestling and then jumped back in the cockpit for a session of Star Wars: Squadrons

We rounded the night off with another round of Four In A Bed!
Awake early as usual but there as no being busy. Got up, made a cup of coffee and played a bit of Street Fighter V on the PS4. After that I listened to some X Japan and played Super Mario on my Nintendo 3DS XL as it is the 35th Anniversary this year. I have rekindled my love of the simplicity of Nintendo games and handheld consoles,
Breakfast was accompanied by game three of the Eastern Conference Finals. Tampa Bay Lightning are leading the New York Islanders 2 - 0 in the series so we were hoping to see them extend that lead. First period ended with a 1 - 1 tie and it was clear the Islanders were desperate to claw their way back into this series. This determination continued to the second period with the Islander leading 3 - 1. Sadly the Islanders ended the third period with a 5 - 3 win and so now trail the Lightning 1 - 2 in the series.
As the weather was nice I popped into the garden to mow the lawn as I don't want it to start getting crazy as we head into autumn/winter.
Apparently the truth is out there so we watched some episodes of The X-Files to see. We are moving from Season 3 into Season 4.
Continuing our Keanu theme from last night we watched Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
Having enjoyed the silliness and the most excellent soundtrack we then turned our attention to Rock Of Ages for some musical silliness!
Today was procedure day. We were up early for Toni to get ready and our neighbour very kindly drove her to the hospital and dropped her off. Due to the current state of play in the world I had to stay at home. Once she had gone I was rattling around the house like trying to occupy myself.
Made sure everything was stable with work and then Sam and I engaged in some PS4 multiplayer fun (in separate rooms of course). Our game of choice was the utterly bonkers Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. Sam had described it as Takeshi's Castle with jelly bean people and he wasn't wrong!
The game is hilarious and each level is quite short of even if you get knocked out you can watch your chum still competing. Most of the time I was watching Sam progress but it was great fun LOL. Definitely one of the best £15.99 I have spent on a game!
Sam popped out to get us some supplies and at 12:30 Toni messaged me to say that she was back up on the ward and the procedure went well which was great news. I then had to twiddle my thumbs for the next couple of hours
Sam and I synced up watching The First Purge together as we'd not seen that one yet to kill off the time before I had to go to the hospital. This was the fourth instalment of The Purge movie franchise and it wasn't bad. We'll have to get round to watching the TV series at some point too.
Well worth a watch if you like The Purge films.
One return Uber ride later and Toni was safe back home. She was in good spirits so I made her some lunch and then we had a nice socially distanced chat with Sam in the garden.
New York Islanders v Tampa Bay Lightning was the order of the night as w caught up with the first game of the Eastern Conference Finals. Lightning came out with something to prove and led the first period 3 - 1. The Lightning didn't sit back and the second period ended with them leading 5 - 1. The steamroller kept on coming as the Lightning won with an astonishing 8 - 2 scoreline to lead their series 1 - 0.
I then spent the rest of the evening playing Fall Guys and giving Toni a good laugh at the same time.

Turned on the PS4 for the first time in a while today. Downloaded the remake of the PSOne classic Medievil. I used to love playing this game when I was much younger (well 28)!
The good news is that this game is still great fun. It runs at a nice steady pace and the graphics are gorgeous. If you liked the original you should definitely check this out.
Lots of laundry was done and I baked another load of bread for Toni before we headed out to Eltham to have some dinner before we travelled to London. The plan had been to go and see this:
When we got to the station everything was borked. The Eltham and Elmstead Woods lines were already subject to replacement bus services so we had decided on New Eltham. Turns out that after we'd left for dinner there was a serious problem at Hither Green that meant al trains were cancelled or severely delayed. Unfortunately this meant that there was no way we could to London to attend. We were both totally gutted.
Instead we returned home, put the kettle on and settled down for an evening watching ice hockey. There are worse ways to spend a Sunday night even if it wasn't what we had planned.
Tonight I decided to have a little PS4 time. Once I was passed the shock of it starting with an error an freezing I got everything back up and running and then settles down for a little gaming. It was time to go old school and indulge in a little nostalgia as Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast has just been ported over. It was a little odd playing it with a controller but the memories came flooding back.
I had a real blast playing it although I was much worse at it than I used to be!
It was a long old day today. I ended up having to WFH due a spectacular Parcelforce cock up. Lazy arse drivers are the bane of my life! If you are going to sign on my behalf and dump my parcels somewhere please at least have the decency to leave a card so that said parcels don't have to sit out in the rain overnight!
Work was full of grrr as well so it was a relief when my day finally ended!
My evening was spent with many hours playing Red Dead Redemption 2. It was a lovely way to wind down after my day. It's also a game that runs at a nice leisurely pace which suits me just fine. I just need to get better control over my trigger finger as I keep accidentally shouting people which isn't great when you are trying to be an honourable outlaw LOL.
After work today it was time for some PS4 action. I had planned on playing Assassin's Creed Origins but instead got back into the action with Spider-Man. I'm now about 36% of the way through and only stopped because I was tired rather than my usual excuse of being stuck LOL.
It's still easy to get lost just swinging through the streets of New York but I did actually do some of the mission and side missions too. Such an amazing game.
I was first up this morning so decided to quickly grab some Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus time. I've been a Wolfenstein fan since Wolfenstein 3D in 1992.
This game is actually much better than Wolfenstein: The New Order and I found it much easier to progress. My time was cut short when the rest of the house rose but I'll be back to it again when I get some alone time.
After brunch I caught up with the remainder of the NXT UK Tournament. NXT for me is far more entertaining than the WWE main stable and now the UK wrestlers are really getting their chance to shine and show what they are made of. I can't wait to see the NXT UK TV shows that are coming up soon.
Netflix has a lot of brilliant standup shows doing the rounds at the moment. We started off watching W. Kamau Bell's 'Private School Negro'. This was hilarious, a very witty take on the good old US of A under Mr Trump, racism and how kids are more socially aware than we give them credit for. Well worth a watch.
Next up was Hanna Gadsby's 'Nanette'. This was powerful stuff. The majority of the show was your usual standup style routines but the message delivered at the end was very strong. Everyone should watch this show and digest the message at the end.
The start today wasn't too early which was a relief. I started off getting excited about a delivery I was expecting but I got a notification that the package won't arrive until Monday so that was part of my weekend plans put on hold LOL.
Toni and I ventured out in the heat to have breakfast at Miggi's. It was nice relaxed affair with the added bonus of Toni being given a belated birthday card and present from Miggi.
When we got home I opened a package from Amazon to find my copies of Rocket League and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. As Toni isn't really into games with bullets firing all the time I decided to play Rocket League first.

KT usually has no interest in cars or football.
Rocket League is a very silly game with cars used as players. Described as "soccer, but with rocket-powered cars", Rocket League has one to four players assigned to each of the two teams, using rocket-powered vehicles to hit a ball into their opponent's goal and score points over the course of a match. The entertainment value more than made up for the fact that I was hardly a star player on my teams LOL.
We got back to watching some Lizzie Borden Chronicles which we had taken break from. Now there's a show that doesn't like to follow a linear plot and throws in the odd 'well damn' moments.
Some more Suits finished the day off as it's such a good show :)
Well following on from yesterday it turned out I did have a chance for lots of PS4 time today. Well, after a good long bit of extra sleep.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was my weapon of choice and I spent most of the day playing. I haven't played it for months and had forgotten how much I enjoy the game. I made really good progress throughout the day completing seven levels and now the end is in sight. I did have to stop playing though as I reached a bit that I was struggling with and was starting to get grumpy. I'll give it a good few days break before attempting it again LOL.
Any downtime was spent on watching having some good old belly laughs to Mock The Week.
We had a nice lazy morning today before heading out to Eltham to grab breakfast at Miggy's.
Any plans for the afternoon were suspended as we were all full of lovely food. Toni, Sam and I started watching Andy Parsons Slacktivist show. They both crashed out in the middle of it but I was wide awake and enjoyed the whole show LOL.
I managed to get in some PS4 time playing a bit of Star Wars Battlefront II and also some Rayman Legends. It was nice to play again, I should make more time to do it.
The rest of the day was spent watching Young Sheldon and Suits.
With the E3 show in full swing there a number of videos that have appeared giving some insight into some of the cool upcoming games.
So here's what is floating my boat so far in the PS4 world. This little lot will keep me going for ages as I spend too much time playing games so I'll probably be good for a year here LOL.
Well today was another day of unexpected extra sleep due to an essential change of plans. It was very much needed.
Toni went out to spend some time with Jade and do various things so I took the opportunity to get in some PS4 time. I started off proceedings with Crash Bandicoot. It was so much fun but sadly I was dealing with a controller with strange behaviours that made it very difficult to play properly so I decided to move on to something else.
Free on PSN Plus this month is a game called Amnesia which I decided to give a go. Oh my, that was unexpected. It's a survival horror game setup in such a way that you don't get to fight, you have to hide or run away. They recommend you play it in a darkened room with headphones on. I opted for the darkened room as Zoe was watching me play. It is a VERY subversive game, with eerie graphics and a soundtrack that just drags you in. It's hard to really describe how it makes you feel. I wasn't scared but my heart was definitely racing at certain points. It does get quite intense, that's for sure.
After a while I had to come up for air as it was all getting too much being lost in the Amnesia world so I took to the high seas once again for some Assassins Creed Black Flag action. That did the job and my BPM was back at a more reasonable rate in no time LOL.
Chip shop chips for the win (and dinner) and we watched some of the first season of Skin Wars: Fresh Paint. This is a RuPaul hosted show where artists move from their usual medium and take on the challenge of body painting.
While walking to the station this morning I noticed some amazing funghi growing on the side of a tree. It looked like somebody had stuffed a bicycle saddle into the bark.
The working day was definitely a manic Monday. Still I guess it beats sitting around with nothing to do LOL.
Toni was out tonight so Sam and I had horror night. We opted for Dead Snow 2. Normally sequels in the nazi zombie genre just get worse bur this one was amazing. So funny and a weird mashup of Norwegian and English. If you liked the first one you'll love the second one!
Sam and I then indulged in a little Samurai Warriors 4 on the PS4 for some over the top craziness.
The evening played out with a little more RuPaul's Drag Race to kill of some time before the first New York Rangers preseason game. The plan wasn't to stay up all night and watch this which was just as well as I was knackered and had to go to bed at some point LOL
