Reading, IPL marks, The Clone Wars, Star Wars LCG and Total Recall

Despite a late night I was up pretty early today. Toni was in the bath for hours so I took the opportunity to do some reading. I should really make more time to read over playing games and/or watching stuff.

The good news is that my IPL marks are reducing nicely. Still visible but definitely going which is a positive

Breakfast was gluten free chicken nuggets and gluten free tiger bread and boy was it good! Copious amounts of tea and watching The Clone Wars from the beginning again was followed by crashing out on the sofa. Must have needed that.

In the afternoon Sam and I battled it out as Jedi v Sith in a game of Star Wars Living Card Game (LCG). It was a close fought game with Sam just scraping through a Sith win. Yes I am usually Sith but I decided to do something different for a change LOL.

The evening finished with Arnie's version of Total Recall after we had been talking about how you can now book a one way ticket to be part of a Mars colony. The effects might be a tad on the ropey side now but it's still a fantastic film.

Good day at work and Star Wars LCG expansions

After what seemed like a long week at work and a depressing feeling suddenly there seemed to be light at the end of the tunnel today (and no, I don't think it was an oncoming train). There seemed to be a communication breakthrough with people sharing how they felt about certain things and also offering proposed ways forward to help improve things. This made me very happy. As a bonus there is also a nice steady flow of work to keep everything ticking over. Let's keep it like this please!

I've just received two updates to my Star Wars Living Card Game which I can't wait to start incorporating into my core set.

Relax, Star Wars The Card Game, Jimmy Spice, craft fair and long journey home

Our morning was spent chatting and relaxing. Sam and I had a game of Star Wars The Card Game. Unlike the last time we played we had a video walk through this time which cleared up a lot of vague points in the rules and highlighted where we had been playing it wrong before. It was a close fought game with both of us being within a turn of winning. Unfortunately for me, Sam's Sith force beat my Jedi one.

Lunch was taken care of at Jimmy Spices. Another multi cultural buffet extravaganza was laid before us. The only downer was the lack of ice cream machine there today :(

After the foods Sam and mum went back to the flat while Toni, Gemima and I went for a stroll down into town to check out the craft fair. Toni bought a lovely owl necklace:

We also got a fabulous mushroom for the garden:

We then had a bit of time to chillax before it was time to load up the car and get ready to go. The journey back home was horrendous with two accidents causing large traffic jams. Our mood was lightened though when we saw this snazzy little car having to go slow with the rest of us.

Despite the long return journey back it's been a fantastic weekend. Nice to get away and lovely to see family and have fun.
