Most excellent day, Rogue One, A New Hope and a partially festive living room

Today was a most excellent day. All the migrations are now done until mid January and so the normal working schedule can be resumed again. Sunday into Monday was our last migration of the year and despite some initial teething problems it went well, It will be nice to have some weekends to myself for a while! I even had decent breaks and finished on time so that was a great improvement over the last few weeks.

Tonight we watched Rogue One and A New Hope to continue our December Star Wars viewing.

The living room is now staring to take on a partially festive feel with the fireplace and altar now kitted out. Still more to come though :) 

The tree will be next and then we will be full on ready for festive frolics.

Snow, lots of snow, cancelled trains, working and a Star Wars world premiere

Well we when we up this morning it was a bit white as snow had fallen during the night and continued to do so. It looked absolutely beautiful.

My What The Forecast app had this to say LOL

We had been keeping a close eye on the trains for our journey home but as time went on things just started to get worse and worse as the snow continued to fall down. Oh well, there are worse places to get stuck LOL.

Slowly we watched all of our possible trains blink out of existence until it was clear that we were staying here for another night. YAY!

I then emailed my boss to say I would start WFH today so the I could get some credit in place for travelling tomorrow and then I'd finish tomorrow WFH once I finally managed to get back. Ended up doing 5 hours of work so it can be a light day tomorrow!

In the good old USA they had the world premiere of The Last Jedi and now we are only days away!

The world premiere looked like an amazing event!

The spoiler free reactions that have been appearing on social media have been amazing and really really make me want to see The Last Jedi NOW! RIGHT NOW!

Fun Star Wars videos, one honest and one a swede

Following on from my recent post with the Honest Trailers version of The Force Awakens, here is their take on A New Hope:


Next up is a sweded version of one of the The Force Awakens trailers. For those that don't know, sweding is re-making something from scratch using whatever you can get your hands on. A great example of this is Jack Black's move Be Kind, Rewind.

Here's a couple of fun Star Wars videos. First up we have A New Hope, Minecraft stylee. This fan film project has been in development for over three years and is looking pretty cool.

An extended trailer for Guardians Of The Galaxy has now appeared online. Yes it all looks rather silly but isn't sci-fi supposed to be fun? I'm looking forward to seeing this!


There is lots of good news for Princess Leia fans our there at the moment. First up was the fantastic decision by Disney to commit to making much more Princess Leia toys. Add to this the rumour that Marvel are considering running a comic book series focussing entirely on Her Royal Highness Leia Organa.

Robot Chicken have just released their Star Wars Episode VII Jitters Song

After dinner tonight Toni and I popped over to Jodie's to go and see how little Zaria was getting on. She is an adorable little thing and it was lovely to spend some time with her.
