Really good HOLLYWOOD DOLL rehearsal

Had a really good HOLLYWOOD DOLL rehearsal tonight.
All the regular songs are hanging together well and the two newer ones are taking shape nicely. Think this was the first rehearsal ever where we didn't bother with the cover versions at all. It's all getting quite exciting now.

We had the option of joining some battle of the bands thing but have decided to wait a while on that as we want to get a few low key gigs out of the way first, plus we haven't completed the line up yet as we are still short one rhythm guitarist.

Had my ultrasound scan.... it's a girl!

Well there you have it, I am sure lots of you wanted to ask what it was when I had my ultrasound so we have decided that it is a girl.

When the scan had started I was asked if I had had my gallbladder removed as she couldn't find it. The idea of the fasting before hand is to shrink the stomach so the gallbladder is easier to see. In my case, however, my gallbladder is contracted so it was harder to find, trust me!

After a bit of poking and scanning I am happy to report (well sort of) that stones were spotted in my gallbladder. So there we are, as suspected, I have gallstones and that is what was causing my pain. Sorted, I have a diagnosis!

Now all I have to do is wait for the scans and report to be sent to my GP (they said they would be faxed tomorrow) and then I'll no doubt be called in to discuss treatment! God knows how long that is likely to be. Am sure it will be suggested that I reduce the fat in my diet although to be honest I don't eat that much anyway so I am not sure that will be a course of action.

In the meantime I shall just have to hope and pray that when the existing stones start to go on the move that the pain isn't too bad! Watch this space.................

Phase one down, no new glasses needed

Had my eye test with Bev at James Bryan Opticians in Chelsmford this morning. Pleased to report that at the moment there is no real change so I won't be needing new glasses for a while. Will have to book in for a contact lens check at some point but as I don't where them very often there's no real rush for that.

Got there early and had to wait around but due to my ultrasound scan this afternoon I am only allowed to drink water (no eating) so I wasn't able to go into Starbucks or Costa and have a nice coffee and read my book. Every where I went I could smell lovely coffee and food, it wasn't much fun.

Home now and totally starving but I still have 2.5 hours to go before my scan so am going quietly crazy! The plan is to hit Pizza Hut after the scan though so it will all be worth it!

Pain free but hectic day

Today, I am pleased to report, was pain free. I woke up this morning with no sign of any stomach trouble at all and it remained like that all day, even after eating, RESULT!

Work was hectic, lots going on which kept me busy (and on the edge of exploding with frustration at times but that's the way it goes)

It was such a relief to get home and be able to relax. Sam and I caught up with this weeks edition of WWE RAW before I got lost in the world of Assassin's Creed for an hour or so.

I then had a quick chat with Toni on MSN to discuss some logistics for tomorrow with my ultrasound test before heading off for an early night.

It's a busy day for me tomorrow, eye test in the morning and ultrasound in the afternoon!

Fluctuating pain, webcasts and Chinese

Well the pain did subside but fluctuated throughout the day although nowhere near as severe as it had been in the wee small hours of the morning so I did manage to stay at work.

Got home and chilled for a bit and then set things up ready for the Capitals v Blaze webcast. Toni arrived and we watched the Capitals pull off a stunning 5 - 3 win over the Blaze and we all enjoyed a yummy Chinese take away.

Was lovely to snuggle on the sofa, drink tea and watch Sam play Infamous on the PS3 (OK, that last bit wasn't so lovely LMFAO).

Not a good night

It was not a good night!

I woke up at 4am in agony as my stomach pains had flared up again. Had a hot bath and took some painkillers and went back to bed. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get any sleep so just tried to not think about the pain until my alarms went off.

I guess I could have phone in sick but decided to trek into work and see how it went even though the pain is still there. Watch this space.........

Good day, gym and PS3

Had a good day at work and surprised the boss by being able to update the company website for him in the absence of the usual person who does it. I even got a "Thank You" from him, such a novelty :o)

Got home and prepared for the gym. Had a slight delay as I had to sort out Sam's PC for him which didn't take long , thankfully.

Had a good old crunch at the gym, the new regime is VERY hard work and I was tired and achey by the time I had finished.

Had a chat with Toni as I walked back, well I let her rant about some stuff at work and I listened LOL

Sam made a lovely chicken curry for dinner and we watched some Stargate SG-1. It was then PS3 and I indulged in a little Assassin's Creed before tiredness caught up with me.

Happy Birthday Matt

Pain again, Supernatural, Warhammer 40K, dinner and more pain

Had another painful episode last night and had a to have a long soak in a hot bath before going to bed. This had settled down a bit by the morning.

We were woke up by the front door bell as Alan had arrived to pick up Livvy and Connor.

We got dressed, had breakfast and watched Supernatural before starting to prepare our armies for a Warhammer 40K battle. Sam decided that we were going to have an objective based game for once rather than the usual "Kill 'Em All" style that we play. This turned out to be a good call as the game was far more enjoyable under this new way of playing. My pains came back again while we were playing which took the edge off of the fun (and my concentration).

A lovely roast dinner and more Supernatural followed Sam's close victory and then it was time for Toni and Gemima to leave. Still feels weird them going on a Sunday now although I understand it with the problems that they sometimes get trying to get back to London after leaving early for school and work on a Monday morning.

Another hot bath and an early night are the cards for me now :o( Fingers crossed that my ultrasound on Thursday DOES reveal gallstones so that I can be treated quickly.

Asda, snow, Warhammer, Zombieland and sparkly Twiglets

We were most amused this morning. As we went to bed last night Gemima had asked if she could watch Sam play Brutal Legend and she was told she could for 5 minutes. Turned out she ended up going to bed at 04:40, and that was only after Toni had woken up and heard her messing about with Sam, Livvy and Connor LMFAO, 5 minutes translated into 5 hours, cheeky mare.

Toni and I went to Asda and left the kids tidying up and washing up. I bumped into Barry and Gloria when I was in there. Was lovely to see them and have promised to go and see them one evening with Sam.

We timed things just right as it started to snow really heavily as soon as we got back and this continued for the rest of the day.

We had brunch and watched loads of Family Guy and then spent the afternoon building and painting Warhammer 40K models.

Here's a few more snow pics:

Spicy mince and rice was the nom nom choice of the day and we watched Zombieland (YAY) and then suffered some sparkly Twiglet vampires (YUK)

Finished the evening doing some more painting.

GOTCHA (relucatantly in Connor's case)!

Chance of snow and then a house full

Weather forecast for today was "chance of snow", REALLY helpful LOL.

Got in to work with no problem at all today and watched it have a light snow from time to time but nothing serious. Toni had made it to work today so decided that she would make her way over to SWF this weekend after picking up Gemima. She picked me up from work and we gave Mike a lift back to Hockley. Had an interesting skid moment not far from his house but nothing serious thankfully. We made it back to SWF without any further incident.

Sam announced that Livvy and Connor were coming over so we waited for them to come over and then decided to hit the kebab van rather than cook. With a house full we chomped out and sat back and watch the Family Guy special "Something, Something, Something Darkside" followed by the Eddie Izzard "Stripped" DVD.

Snow delays

Snow, snow, snow - I LOVE IT but............
......not the havoc it causes! Trains to work were in chaos yesterday with my SWF to Wickford on being delayed and then I had to wait at Wickford for over 25 minutes before a train to Shenfield arrived.

Relatively quiet day at work with the boss letting us leave early so that we could get home in a sensible manner which was nice. Journey home felt long and was bloody cold although it didn't take as long as I had feared it might.

Spent the evening chilling watching Family Guy, TNA Impact and playing Assassin's Creed on the PS3.
