We've just been binging a couple of TV shows so I thought i'd pass on my thoughts on these.
First up we have The Umbrella Academy on Netflix. This is one where all episodes were dropped at the same time.
The show is based on the comic books by My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way. A disbanded group of superheroes reunite after their adoptive father, who trained them to save the world, dies. This superheroes with a difference show is well put together and tells a compelling story that slowly unfolds. There's a good mix of the serious and comedic. It was compulsive viewing and we managed to get through the whole thing over a weekend.
Next up is The Passage that we've been watching on NowTV.
This is a different twist to the vampire story done with a zombie-style epidemic twist. It's a weekly show and so far we are up to episode 6. It's a great story that has us desperate for the week to pass so that we can see the next episode
