Hollywood Doll @ SSOne

Gig time again. It seemed like ages since the last one! It was certainly an interesting one tonight. The event was put on by Mark Foggo (of New World Order fame) and it was the first time that he had put bands on anywhere. A slight oversight meant that we were without mic stands and a mixing desk! Thankfully, with all the bands pulling together and putting in emergency calls, we managed to magic up all the gear that we needed to out on the show. Four bands proceeded entertain the masses:

HERIDA
All three members of the band were very very talented and technically superb but what they offered up seemed to lack a little soul and feeling. They had some good strong tunes though and were enjoyable to watch.

HOLLYWOOD DOLL
It was a real blast tonight. Once again we seemed to draw the most noise and crowd response. It was great to see members of Trash Monroe and Contraflow come along to support us. It was very loud and we really gave it some.

STRANDEAD
I quite enjoyed these guys. Good hard punk sound with some catchy tunes too. The singer certainly had a lot of energy as he charged and bounced around the dance floor.

Sadly there was some unrest in the camp after the gig and it later transpired that their bass player had quit the band which was a sad way for the night to end for them.

WALK IN COMA
It was good to be playing with Walk In Coma again. This time though they had their singer with them and what a difference it made! They were good before but were excellent with him present. Really enjoyed their set and look forward to hopefully playing with them again.

So, all in all, it was a great night and we even got paid for this one, RESULT!
