Chelmsford Chieftains do the double!

It was off to Chelmsford again tonight for the second leg of the ENL South 1 Play Off Final. The Chieftains went into this game with a 4 - 3 advantage have managed to get the win against Wightlink Raiders last night.

I was up for full participation today so went armed with my trusty sieve ready for the Goalie, Sieve chant. It was a fantastic game, edge of the seat stuff with the Raiders running the Chieftains close. Fortunately Chieftains always managed to keep their one goal advantage. I did  get a chance to drag out the Goalie, Sieve chant three times though which was well received! The last minute was squeaky bum time as Wightlink pulled their netminder at 3 - 3 for the extra forward on the ice. Despite a phenomenal effort from Wightlink they couldn't managed to get the extra goal to push things to overtime.

There were celebrations all over the rink as the buzzer went and Chelmsford Chieftains were declared ENL South 1 Play Off Champions to go along with their ENL South 1 League title.
