Mother Shipton's Cave, Nando's and Despicable Me 2

We had another awesome day going out and doing interesting things. Today we headed out to Knaresborough to visit Mother Shipton's Cave. We were surrounded by some gorgeous scenery plus some great history. Mother Shipton was a Yorkshire witch who prophesied about future events in the form of poems. Her prophecies predicted the fates of several rulers within and just after her lifetime - the invention of iron ships, Great Fire of London in 1666, the defeat of the Spanish Armada... and even the end of the world!

The petrifying well was fascinating to see. It takes about three months for small items to become petrified by the water.

The pictures didn't really do it justice so here a couple of videos!:

Her cave was one of the most calming and tranquil places I have ever visited and I could actually have just curled up and quite happily gone to sleep in there. Sadly it was really difficult to take photos in there.

After the cave we went and sat by the weir and just chilled out for a while.

Once we were done we drove to Bradford and went and had a nice chilled meal in Nando's. It was nice to kick back and have some good food with great company. We finished off the day going to Cineworld and watched Despicable Me 2 as Dan and Laura hadn't seen it yet. We didn't mind though as it's such a brilliant film so seeing it twice was certainly NOT a problem. We were all in stitches right at the very end!
