Thor: The Dark World

We might have been late to the party but Toni and I headed off to Cineworld in Bexleyheath tonight to go and see Thor: The Dark World.

As you've probably already guessed we are Marvel fan girls so we were looking forward to this and it didn't disappoint. The story was very well crafted and I was delighted that they used Dark Elves and Malekith in there. For cross reference, I play Dark Elves in Warhammer Fantasy and Malekith The Witch King is a character in that.

Here's the plot: "The adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, continue as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel's "Thor" and "Marvel's The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all."

We both enjoyed the film and I actually thought it was better than the first one. As is expected with Avengers related films these days there is lots of cross referencing to previous (and future) films. Really glad we went to see this
