Really bad weather, leaving early, dead car and home sweet home

We woke up this morning and it was puring down. REALLY pouring down. The forecast for the day was dire.

We went and saw Diane Narraway do a really interesting talk on Werewolves and Vampires before trudging back through the wet to our tent. As such, we decided that we would pack up the tent as soon as we could so that we could get away early. We got the car loaded and then there was a dry sunny spell in which the tent started to dry out a little. We got it all packed up and into the car just before another major downfall of rain and a lovely storm to boot.

Unfortunately the car decided that it wasn't going to start at this point. We had the battery checked before we went away and were told that it was absolutely fine. So much for that as the car had NO power at all. First up Dean tried to jump us from his car. We were getting some juice but not enough to get things going. Mel then tried using hers which was successful. Sadly at that point Dean's car was dead too so Mel had to give him a boost.

We had a good run back without anything to worry about and then it was time to just kick back and relax as the awful weather and dead car panic had been all too much for us. Ah, home sweet home!
