NOFX @ O2 Empire

No sooner had we been dropped at North Greenwich and Toni had gone, the fun and games began as it transpired that the Jubilee line was out of action and we had to get a bus to Stratford to get the Central Line to Shepherds Bush. We started off with a stomach top up in McNastys (mmmm, Big Mac goodness!) and strolled off to the O2 Empire.

POUR HABIT
First band of the night were Pour Habit. They were really entertaining and the singer seemed to be having a complete blast!

THE FLATLINERS
The Flatliners were also good (and another band I hadn't seen before). For some strange reason they didn't seem to go down as well as Pour Habit although I actually think they were better.

SNUFF
Tonight saw the return of punk legends Snuff. This was one awesome set and really got the crowd warmed up paying a selection of great punk anthems. Sam had never heard them before but really enjoyed them too.

NOFX
The return of the mighty NOFX. As ever these guys didn't disappoint although I did think I was going to die at one point. Sam and I were at the front and it was completely mental. After about 10 songs we decided to make a tactical retreat further back to watch from a safer distance. As we tried I was knocked down and was at the top of a five man pile up. Unfortunately in this day and age there is no honour amongst punks and nobody made any effort to help anybody up which resulted in more pain being inflicted before we could all get back up. After this, and MUCH further back, Sam and I enjoyed the rest of the set and (despite our bruises) agreed it had been a good night.

I won't describe the journey home as it was long and painful due to bloody bank holiday engineering works!
