NINJA: Nine Inch Nails & Jane's Addiction @ O2

Met Toni at North Greenwich tonight in eager anticpation of Jane's Addiction and Nine Inch Nails. We decided to skip opening band Mew in favour of yummy food at Frankie and Benny's.

Despite being "up in the gods" at The O2 Arena our seats were really good (front row) and the view was good.


JANE'S ADDICITION
Jane's Addiction were superb, and the main reason that I had been looking forward to the gig. They weren't quite as chaotic as they were when I saw them 20 odd years ago and put on a tight professional performance. My only real criticism was that it took singer Perry Farrell 5 songs before he started engaging the audience. The set was a good mix of the slow and upbeat songs.

NINE INCH NAILS
This was a first time for me seeing Nine Inch Nails and a many time for Toni. They were superb. Wasn't sure what to expect but the set was fantastic and the sound was crystal clear.

Yes you did read the set list right, Mr Numan came on and sang with NIN and totally owned the place! The O2 Arena went berzerk at that point.

With this looking like the last ever NIN tour (hence it being called the Wave Goodbye tour) I am really glad that I went and couldn't have done it with a better person :o)
