Today had been a reasonable one. We'd had bacon at the cafe to kickstart the day and then spent the morning just chilling out. Zoe went off with her dad to some event and Toni and I then embarked on assembling a new desk for her while she was out. Well that was a mission and a half! IKEA furniture is notorious for having hard to follow instructions and having bits missing. This little gem made IKEA look like the best company in the world. Such is the danger of buying from eBay. Not only were there a couple of bits absent in the packaging (fortunately not fatal) but included was THE worst set of instructions in the world ever. They were so bad that we actually ended up building the whole thing using intuition. It actually turned out really well.but it did get a bit frustrating at times LOL
Our was supposed to end on a good note as we stayed up to watch New York Rangers take on Edmonton Oilers. On paper this was an easy win for the Rangers. The Oilers have been struggling all season and are languishing at the lower end of the standings. The Rangers were at home so we were hopeful for a spirited performance. Instead we saw a lazy team who didn't seem to be able to string a pass together let alone come out the victors. They didn't, the Rangers lost 1 - 3 with a woeful performance. What the f***, get it together guys or you won't be contending for a Stanley Cup this season!
