Holiday cancelled, Paris update and another Rangers win!

It was a tough day today. I was on holiday and Toni, mum, Pam and I were supposed to be going to Center Parcs for a long weekend away. Unfortunately Toni hasn't managed to shift her lurgs (she ended being hit much harder than I was) and Pam has bronchitis. Not an easy decision to have to make but absolutely the right one.

Now it's all over I can pass comment on recent events in Paris. Sam was scheduled to be in the Paris office on Thursday and Friday (today). Sadly his management didn't see the kick off the Charlie Hebdo killings as a reason for him not to travel. Have to admit I wasn't very happy about this. So Sam travelled to Paris yesterday via Eurostar and then the second incident happened. Thankfully he was in the office by this point and was blissfully unaware of the second incident. Then when things started to kick off today I was obviously starting to get concerned again especially as the sieges started. Thankfully the Paris office were a bit more sensible and let him leave early and get a taxi to the station so that he could take refuge there while waiting for his train home. I managed to avoid being a complete basket case today by checking all the locations on a map and satisfying myself that Sam was suitable far enough away to be in no immediate danger.

Hockey catch up time again tonight as we watched New York Rangers v L.A. Kings. Rangers put in another great performance and walked away with 4 - 3 victory. Twelve wins in the last thirteen games is not to be sniffed at. This team might have finally hit their stride!
