Plague house day four

A triumphant return to work in 2015 was hampered today by this damn illness. Although adrenaline powered me through yesterday I was back a step this morning when I woke up with all the aches and pains returning once again and the throat from hell coming back to haunt me.

On a positive note though Toni got a call from the Occupational Therapy team (who we had requested we get referred to while in A&E yesterday). They said that they would be able to visit in the afternoon and they did. That was impressive in itself. We had the visit, various options were discussed on things that could help Pam (the big one being a brand new bed that could be totally adjusted for her comfort). She slept in her reclining chair last night as she was worried about sleeping in her chair again given the events yesterday morning. The most amazing thing was then to be told that they can deliver and install the new bed and equipment tomorrow! Now that is an effective organisation at work!

Toni had also called the GP surgery about her illness and told them about Pam's fall and next thing we knew they arranged for a Doctor to come and visit her in the afternoon. It was a bit of a busy day for visitors to the plague house!

The final score looked something like this at the end of the day.....
Toni & KT battling the illness - ZERO (although slowly improving)
Medical & Support services coming to aid Pam's recovery and lifestyle - TWO (BIG WIN!
