The one positive is that the infection has now been cleared up.
The down side is that there is nothing further they can do for the brain tumor! They want to discharge her but she basically failed their discharge safety checks as she has no concept of the dangers of boiling water and stuff like that. This means that she will have to go straight into a home to be looked after as she is not capable of looking after herself. Nan is also being naughty as mum found her tablets hidden in a tissue in a bowl of sweets and some crushed into the floor. Nurses will be supervising her taking tablets in future.
Mum is getting some info on homes tonight and will have to try and find one with a vacancy. Mum has also recommended that I go and see nan sooner rather than later as the talk seems to be of months rather than years (and this could presumably mean that realistically it could be weeks).
