Wacken road trip day 2

Got up at 8 this morning and went and collected Mike and Sam to go and have a good breakfast. European hotel breakfasts are awesome and I was delighted to find rye bread which I love. Cold meats, cheese, real coffee, croissants and pan au chocolat NOM NOM. 26 euros for two breakfasts was an absolute bargain for what we got.

Dortmund mascot seems to be a rhino with wings, what's that all about? Lots of drug taking in that brain storming session methinks LMFAO

Today's journey was a little less insane with everyone being a bit more sedate and just chilling out. They have the best service stations in Germany with a large stock of porn (magazines and DVDs). I was most impressed with the Hello Kitty and Bum Bum ice lollies and the chocoballs too. The best bit though is that whereas in England we have sweets at the checkouts, in Germany they have an amazing collection of alcohol products in mini bottles. Lollipops and Jagermeister is the way to do it!

Trauma started again when Giles announced that he wanted to have 'chocolate babies' with Sam!

Before arriving we did managed to get pulled over by a BAG van. Thankfully after he had checked us over we were legal and he let us go.

Getting into Hamburg was a nightmare and took forever due to a huge traffic jam although we did have the amusement of lots of people giving is evils horns and gawping at Darth Vanner (especially people with Wacken signs and flags on their cars)

We got kind of lost finding Wacken and past lots of zombie infested forests:

Giles' zombie survival guide:
Bum it and burn it!

Stopped for diesel and the dude slammed his hatch shut when he saw us approaching. I guess this was a local garage for local people!

We did finally reach Wacken Open Air and after doing artist check in and getting VIP passes we then spent our time putting up tents and creating Spitsville.

Vikki and Z went to bed and Rob, Giles, Mike, Toni, Sam and I went in search of food and drink. We got separated from Rob and Giles so continued eating and then did a mead, Jäger, mead trip and spent £30 on Haribo. Mike, Sam, Toni and I then retired to our tent for drinking and chatting.

Despite the time this blog would appear to be posted, it is now 03:00 and we are still going strong........ Wacken Roll!
