Wacken road trip day 5

Toni, Sam, Mike and I got up for a VIP, coffee and breakfast. Sadly we also endured the infernal racket that was Caliban on the main stage.

We went to the Metal Market to pick up some gifts and Toni got herself some Converse style shoes to save her feet exploding.

Later on we actually took time to go and see Crucified Barbara on the WET Stage which was really good. Following that we listened to a little Overkill from the VIP.

Some of WASP's set was picked up from the tent as we'd popped back to get a break from the horrendous heat and the awful dust clouds that a lot of sunbaked fields will inevitably produce. They sounded pretty food before sleep kicked in.

We were then awakened and tortured by the dreadful jazz, Mexican weirdness of Fanfara Kalashnikov.

Determined not to miss out on some bands that I had planned on seeing we went to get food and drink and watched Edguy.

We took in some Cannibal Corpse and Immortal from the VIP are before heading back to the tent. It was tempting at that point to just go to bed but after a few drinks we were all full of energy again and so headed back to VIP to drink much more and watch the festival closing set from U.D.O. which was awesome and once again we were treated to a version of Balls To The Wall.

and that, dear readers, was that. Music over it was time to retire to the tents to get some sleep before tent deconstruction and the journey home tomorrow :o)
