Things started well with us bumping into our friends from CalaztrilloZ and having a quick chat with them. Once inside we said hello to Caz Mumin (who was DJ for the night) and her partner Darren. In a bizarre turn of events I also bumped into Paul Elphick who was a guitarist in Howling Mad back in the 80s with me. Haven't seen him for over twenty years so it was good to have a quick catch up!
We ended up missing the first band but there were still three to enjoy:
NOTHING GAINED
Really enjoyed these guys. Good hard music with a fantastic singer who could not only hit the notes but also had an awesome growl.

CALATRILLOZ
Yes I am biased but CalatrilloZ just get better every time I see them. New bass player Alex is really fitting in nicely and the new outfits really added to the overall theatrics of their set. Technical problems meant they had to cut their set short but it was great anyway.

SARAH JEZEBEL DEVA
This was LOUD, too loud for Toni who lasted for about one song! It was good stuff though although Sarah did seem a little disinterested. The rest of the band were giving it lots of energy but Sarah was sadly lacking on the performance front. Her voice was superb though, a totally amazing voice that is just as good live as it is on the recordings. Maybe this was an off day, would love to see her giving her all.

After the gig we hung out with Caz and Darren and the CalatrilloZ boys and generally larked about. This was a fantastic night that wasn't even spoiled by getting a parking ticket!
