Avengers: Age Of Ultron

It was off to see Avengers: Age Of Ultron for the second time tonight (I did't blog it on Tuesday). I don't want to risk any spoilers so I'll just say that if you are a fan of the Marvel Avengers films then you certainly won't be disappointed with Age Of Ultron. For me this was one of the best so far as it introduces Scarlet Witch , a character that I love.

Here's the trailer if you need something to whet your appetite.

Reiki course at Wicca Moon

Today it was off to Wicca Moon to start my Reiki course. It's something that I have been toying with doing for a while so decided to take the plunge. There was lots to learn and it was hard work with tomorrow promising to be even harder but I am always up for a challenge!

Dolmen Grove Beltane Camp - day two

Most of today was spent hanging around with friends old and new and having a good old natter and chill out. We had to leave later in the day so made the most of our time there.

We caught Doris hiding on the riverbank like a little pixie

It was all a bit too much for Baz

The river was flowing well today

Taloch did a talk and meditation expanding on the Crow Dance Ritual from the day before. Toni and I were both involved in this version as well. It was an uplifting experience with lots more people starting to understand what it was all about and participating.

Charlie found himself a new role driving a tractor to help people move all their gear from one side of the river to the other.

Phil hitched a ride and struck a pose!

Sadly the weekend was over far too soon and it was time to return home. Our departure was delayed somewhat by Gertrude deciding to have a flat battery so it took some time to get her charged up enough to get back on the road. Sadly we did and had to go home.

Dolmen Grove Beltane Camp - day one

There's something quite satisfying about being up early in the morning at a camp and being clear headed and full of life while watching last night's revellers slowly rear their heads looking shellshocked and zombie like!  This year the bridge was better and but the name of the company makes you call it's safety into question!

Pinkie gave us a friendly greeting when she saw us, feel the love!

We went and checked out the Beltane fire before doing a run through of the piece the the Dolmen Grove Essex Moot were doing.

Toni and I performed as part of a Crow Dance Ritual which was great fun.

The evening entertainment in earnest started after that. First up was Kerrie

The music ended with another blistering performance from The Dolmen.

After the music we attended the fire ceremony and did our little piece with the Dolmen Grove Essex Moot. Normally we would have stayed out to play until the wee small hours but we decided to get a good sleep for a change in our luxury bed.

Day off, Rishta, Rangers win first series and off to Weymouth

Day off, YES! Toni and I started with a nice big fry up in the cafe round the corner. The rest of the day was spent preparing to go away to the Dolmen Grove Beltane Camp in Weymouth. Gertrude looks amazing with all the things we have done to far, throws here and there, a makeshift curtain etc etc.  She is looking lovely and homely.

We took Pam over to Leanne's late in the afternoon and then headed back to home to grab something to eat before heading off. Rishta was the order of the day! By the time we had finished our meal Toni was feeling tired so we decided not to head straight off to Weymouth. Instead Toni went to bed to get some sleep while I stayed up to watch New York Rangers defeat Pittsburgh Penguins and take the first series in the Stanley Cup Play Offs.

We then got up at 4am and headed off to Weymouth so that we would be there ready for a whole day of fun!

More nice London architecture

Here are some pics from my walk today. It's always nice to see a bit of London that remains preserved and that hasn't been encroached upon by the steel and glass brigade. Hopefully these will remain here for a while......

Star Wars games, Rebels trailer and Rangers win on overtime to lead the series 3 - 1

In all my excitement about Star Wars Episode VII trailers and Celebration 2016 tickets I completely forget to talk about Star Wars Battlefront 3, the new video game coming to consoles towards the end of the year. The latest trailer has now been released

I have Star Wars Battlefront on pre-order already for my PS4, can't wait to play it!

As I am not really a frequenter of arcades these days I also missed out on this awesome trailer for Star Wars Battle Pod. Brings back memories of the old Atari Star Wars vector arcade game in 1983 and then Return Of The Jedi in 1984. Looks very cool though

Continuing the Star Wars trailers theme, here is the Season Two trailer for Star Wars Rebels:

Game 4 of the New York Rangers v Pittsburgh Penguins series didn't start well. The Penguins came out all guns blazing and were 0 - 1 up after 02:22. The Rangers looked tired and sluggish so instead of coming out to play and extend their lead to 3 - 1 they came out lacklustre and playing for the Penguins to tie the series 2 - 2.  Power play was terrible as usual. Someone needed to tell them that they can't score if they don't shoot! First period ended with the Rangers down 0 - 1. Shots on goal were NYR 2 and PIT 8. Diabolical!

Rangers did start the second looking a little more with it. Power play was still shite though and getting shots on goal seemed to be alien to them. It was still an ugly period but the Rangers seemed to show determination After a lot of hustle the Rangers tied the game 1 - 1 with a scrappy tap in by Derick Brassard at 17:15. Phew! Second period ended tied at 1 - 1. Shots on goal were NYR 12 (14) and PIT 8 (16).

Third period started with the Penguins having the slight edge which wasn't how I wanted it to begin. It was more end to end although the shots were few and far between from both sides. I did work out why New York is known as The Big Apple. Loads of turnovers! The end of the third became very cautious with neither team wanting to make a mistake. Both teams had their chances but neither could get that goal to take the lead.  Third period ended still tied at 1 - 1. Shots on goal were NYR 6 (21) and PIT 7 (23). Into overtime we went! Overtime began with Penguins on the attack but the Rangers soon started fighting back. After a scramble in front of the Penguins net Kevin Hayes scores at 03:14 Rangers won the game 2 - 1 in overtime. Shots on goal were NYR 2 (23) and PIT 0 (23). Rangers now lead the series 3 - 1 and have a chance to wrap it up at home on Friday night!

Migraine hell and baby robin

Woke up this morning with a lovely migraine. It wasn't brewing, it was half way there (and NO I wasn't living on a prayer!).  Eye mask went on and under the covers I went for sleep. It wasn't going anywhere so I took two Migraleve yellow tablets and slept again. That was me out of action until 3pm.  I was OK for about an hour before I started getting the old flashing lights so had to dip back into darkness again. Thankfully about an hour of that and I was back to normal again. That was a day I do not want to repeat in a hurry!

In other news one of our baby robin's came out to play today. It's a cute little thing!

Down side of today (apart from that killer migraine) was having to cancel going to see Russel Brand's The Emperor's New Clothes with Q&A as I didn't want to risk the migraine coming back watching something on a big screen.
