Day out, slight change of plan and a great feeling

It was a novel day today as I was off and Toni and I were both going for a day out together. This doesn't happen often at all. We hopped on a train and headed into London.

This just screamed out of me to go into "tourist mode" as Toni called it LOL
Sadly it is the sort of thing that one day will be gone once some bastard developer comes in and makes an outrageous offer on the property!

It is amazing that hidden behind all the brick, metal and glass in central London are some quite lovely places. This is Soho Square:

Conversely there are some really shit things happening to the buildings of London these days. Following on from the loss of key venues in London from a previous blog post of mine I was stunned to be confronted by this on Oxford Street:

It is so sad to see such marvellous architecture reduced to a tiny "waffer theen" sliver of a building with only the facade kept in place due to some listed status while the rest of it is unceremoniously ripped down. I'm sure what they'll put behind it all will be ghastly like the gold mirrored windows monstrosity in the pics at the back of the site.

The signage outside just made me cringe, says it all really!

Our original plan had been to meet a friend who was going to give us a tour of the Hare Krishna temple and then we were going to go to Govinda's Restaurant but due to a mix up with confirmation protocol (don't ask!) he didn't show up so we decided to go and do something different instead.

We went off and found a Pizza Express and had lovely gluten free pizza and just a general chit chat about various things. We started talking about how we hadn't been to Wicca Moon for ages and that we had stalled with our Wicca Moon School Of Witchery course due to life just getting in the way. Toni had been meaning to go and have a chat with Shirlee about it so I suggested that we head off their today and go to Wicca Moon on our way home. We did.

It was so lovely to be back at Wicca Moon again. It was like we had never been away. We are now all set to get back on track with the Wicca Moon School Of Witchery course, I am booked in for Reiki Level 1 and I had a lovely grounding session in the Temple. We had a lovely time there catching up and talking about various things plus we just had to do a little bit of shopping while we were there.

This end to the day left us both with a great feeling. It was great to have a day spending time together :)
