Bugsy Malone has always played a big part in my life. I've loved it for so long, seen the movie way too many times and have also seen theatre versions on numerous occasions. It was a no brainer to go and see a local production.
The stage set was simple but effective (taken before the performance began).
It started strong and continued that way until the end with all the songs delivered with gusto and mostly in tune. The car chase scene was just inspired!
All hail the mighty Safety Curtain!
Second half was just as good with a wonderfully explosive finale with cream/foam going everywhere on the stage. It was so well done.
Big thumbs up for a great little production. The future of theatre is bright with the talent that some of these youngsters showed tonight.
