Child free day and finishing Sherlock

It's been a bit of a novelty this weekend as we've been child free since yesterday. Sam went to Germany for a friends wedding and Zoe is staying with a friend and it's quite nice.

Don't get me wrong, we do love having them here but sometimes that short break is amazing. We can do what we want, whenever we want and go where we want without having to factor them into the plans.

This morning we went into Eltham and had breakfast at Delicio before heading back home with a plan to nothing but just chill out.

We decided to burn through the rest of Sherlock to the very end. My goodness, this show just got better and better with intricate stories interweaved around each other. It was quite emotional getting to the very end and realising that there are no more episodes planned for the foreseeable future. I really hope they do make more in the not too distant future.

In other news it has just been revealed that Patrick Stewart is going to reprise his role as Jean-Luc Picard in a NEW Star Trek TV series! This was unexpected but great news. I can't wait to see what they do with this.

The day finished off with a couple of episodes from Season 2 of Luke Cage accompanied by a video message from a slightly pickled Sam who was having a great time enjoying Weissbier!
