Rangers in convincing win, Love Actually & Four Weddings

Got up and did a little more tidying up as Pam was having visitors and then it was time for breakfast and a chance to watch the New York Rangers v Vancouver Canucks game that I bailed on last night.

First period started with the Canucks looking quite dangerous until 02:36 when Ryan McDonough made it 1 - 0 to the Rangers. Then at 03:19 J.T. Miller took the lead to 2 - 0. Mats Zuccarello made it 3 - 0 at 06:46. Three goals in four shots! Rangers had lots of good chances and the first period ended with them leading 3 - 0. Shots on goal were NYR 6 and VAN 7.

Second period was a strong start for the Rangers and it was good to see them not trying to sit on their lead. At 07:17 the Rangers extended their lead to 4 - 0 after a cracker from Staal. Martin St. Louis failed to convert a penalty shot and then the Canucks started to mount some offense. At 17:39 Mats Zuccarello bagged his second and the Rangers moved 5 - 0 up. Second period ended with the Rangers leading 5 - 0. Shots on goal were NYR 10 (16) and VAN 8 (15).

The Canucks came out a lot stronger in the third desperate to try and salvage something. At 04:20 they managed to get one on the board to make it 5 - 1. After that they really started to up the pressure but couldn't score again. Rangers won 5 - 1. Shots on goal were NYR 7 (23) and VAN 15 (30).

It was very nice to see a convincing win from the Rangers. They just need to play like that every game!

The afternoon was spent watching Love Actually as it's that time of year again! This was swiftly followed by Four Weddings And A Funeral. After dinner it was time for a catch up on four episodes of Constantine to bring us up to date again.
