Sophie's progress and some news about my nan and stuff

Well Sophie is recovering pretty well. Her stitches are healing well and she is getting about (albeit a lot slower that normal). There seems to be more and more bruising appearing and despite the four minute sets of stitches the operation was obviously more traumatic than the wounds would indicate. We are going for a walk in the morning as she is keen to get out of the house and get some air and exercise.

Mum phoned me tonight to say that my nan is in hospital. She had been having some confusion and memory problems along with her illness over Xmas. Mum went out to get some stuff yesterday only to return home and find nan on the floor with no knowledge of what happened. Once at the hospital the diagnosed a urinary infection which is being treated with ant-biotics (and is also a common cause of memory problems in the elderly) so hopefully once that has been cleared up she will become a bit more lucid and like her old self again.

Have my dad and Stephanie coming over tomorrow to have a catch up and go for a meal. Haven't seen them for quite a while so should be good fun.
Toni and Aaron are also descending upon us once again for another weekend of madness and ice hockey!
