Lovely relaxing afternoon

After a light breakfast we popped into Chelmsford to get a few things. Toni got some new tops whilst Sam and I browsed in Game. Next up was Starbucks and then we all had a splurge in HMV. We finished a lot earlier than expected but instead of going home we decided to go to La Tasca to try their tapas menu. We sat outside and their was a tent nearby with band playing. It was really nice taking out time eating, listening to music and just generally chilling. The Hype Theory were a really good band who we wouldn't mind seeing again.

What really made me laugh though was I saw the bass player from Freebird standing around and then singer appeared closely followed by the drummer. I figured that they might be playing at some point. They took a table near us at La Tasca and then I saw their guitarist Dave, Hazel's ex, appear. We decided to have pudding and coffee just to hang around and see Freebird's set (well some of it). They do covers of old rock classics but I personally don't think they are as good as either Hedgehog or Anthem.

We left half way through to pick up a computer chair for Sam (and because our parking tickets was about to run out).

Got home, made cups of tea, had ice cream, Tunnock's tea cakes and watched more Vampy True Blood goodness.

It was a great way to spend the day...

Three hours sitting by the riverside with good food and live music...

How civilised!!!

Oh - and True Blood... what a brilliant series! Loving it!
