Next stop was Coffee Town where we indulged in a little breakfast before heading out to Deptford to meet Jade and her new boyfriend Ben. He seemed like a nice guy and she seems very happy with him which is great to see. We went shopping in Deptford market and picked up a phenomenal amount of meat for bugger all money. It will last us for two weeks and we paid a little over half of our old weekly Tesco bill. Just goes to show how people are prepared to pay over the odds for the 'convenience' of everything being under one roof!
It's childish I know but we did find this little gem in one of the shops there:
We then popped back to Jade's for a cup of tea before heading out to Lidl to pick up some other cheap food bits. As we were manoeuvring out of the car park afterwards some twonk drove into the back of us as he pulled straight of his parking space. I didn't even feel the bump as we were both traveling at around 1mph. There was no damage to The Beast but his Hyundai took a minor ding. He was quick to take photos and swap details but didn't actually engage in conversation which was really odd. We also took pics, and after swapping details went home and reported it straight away to our insurance company. Forewarned is forearmed and all that. To be honest it's probably a £50 job but he seemed like the kind of person who has litigation in his blood rather than talk things over sensibly. Be interesting to see if we hear anything else or if it just fizzles out.
We then went home and had a TV blitz catching up with Grimm, Haven and then we watched Dark Shadows. This was a film that hadn't had great reviews but I actually thought was really good. If you haven't seen then it's well worth watching.
Our evening finished up with Have I Got News For You and a few Live At The Apollo episodes. It was en time for me to wash my hair and have a major defuzz!
