April Fools, slow day, WWE RAW, ice cream OD and a hockey fix

April Fool's day was a bit of a non-event this year. Yes I'd had the excitement of Pokemon Google Maps but there wasn't much else of note going on. I did get caught out once though (albeit very briefly) with this gem of a post on Facebook from German pirate metal band Running Wild:
"Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Lies", the fifth installment of the blockbuster franchise that follows the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow, will feature Rolf Kasparek! In the upcoming movie Kasparek is supposed to take over a small but important role within Captain Barbossa's rowdy crew.
Commented Rolf: 'I'm really honored to have been offered this role and I was surprised that Mr. (Johnny) Depp himself proposed having me within the cast because he admires RUNNING WILD since many years already.'
First pictures of the set and Rolf fully dressed up in his costume will be released very soon.

To be fair, it could almost have been believed due to the pirate heritage of Running Wild!

My favourite one though (although it didn't actually catch me out but was VERY funny) was this. Once again it was on Facebook from the Make a DREDD Sequel page:
Sylvester Stallone and Rob Schneider confirmed for a sequel to 1995's Judge Dredd! Full story at the link below:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090655/?mode=desktop&ref_=m_ft_dsk
Karl Urban has released a statement:

"We knew this was the right direction to take the franchise. Stallone's take on the character of Judge Dredd was a classic. I wish them nothing but the best."
Thoughts?

The Dredd was just funny as the original Dredd movie was BAD, REALLY BAD and the idea of a sequel is enough to make any Dredd or 2000AD fan want to vomit!

Work wise it was a slow day today. As we reach the end of another sprint the work is drying up rather than piling up for a change which meant the day wasn't as crazy as it could have been. Not that I am complaining about that of course!

WWE RAW this week was actually quite entertaining. The WWEs last chance to build up Wrestlemania XXX was a relative success. Big props to Brock Lesnar for his ability to portray doubt. I can't really stand him as a wrestler and he is rubbish on the mic (hence having Paul Heyman as a manager to do the talking) but he can sure act. His blend of confidence with the occasional facial expression that showed uncertainty. Well played Mr Lesnar, well played. Although I have no doubt that The Streak will remain intact I am very confidence that Lesnar v The Undertaker could actually be a good match! The HHH/Stephanie MacMahon segment with Batista and Randy Orton was also well done and I actually started to get some respect for Batista. In the unlikely event that we end up with a HHH (rather than Daniel Bryan) v Orton v Batista triple threat match I think I am going to be routing for Batista. Crazy times! Daniel Bryan's surprise appearance right at the end was brilliant!

Toni and I had to do a Tesco run to get some bits so we bought bad things as well. We then watched the latest episode of Believe and we (accompanied by Sam) and OD'd on ice cream. We ate SO MUCH ice cream. It was naughty but nice thought LOL.

As the Rangers v Canucks game wasn't on until 3am (which was bloody annoying as we really wanted to watch that one) Toni and I took in a bit of the Capitals v Stars game instead to get a bit of a hockey fix before bedtime.
