Following on from the reorganization meeting the other day I have now met and had a private audience with the new boss. It's going to be business as usual in the short term and he has no intention of coming in with a bulldozer making us change things for the sake of it. This was a positive sign.
He was also only informed of his new role on Friday last week which he was to do on top of his usual full time tasks. He might be a bit busy for a while :o)
It looks as though there will be plenty of opportunity for cross team collaboration further down the line which will certainly make things a little different. Nothing wrong with learning new things though, it would make a welcome change.
Like I said on Tuesday there is great potential for good things to happen in the future. I guess the trick will be to approach things slowly but surely and not make unnecessary changes just for the sake of it. If we can share knowledge and experiences then both London teams should be able to slowly evolve and improve and with increased communication we will be in a good position for the future.
OK, I apologize, I shall stop being uncharacteristically happy about work LMFAO
