There is lot's to look forward to in 2014 on the movie and TV front. I've already given name checks in previous blogs to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days Of Future Past and Guardians Of The Galaxy but there is some other stuff coming up too that looks interesting.
I'll start with this one. Although I am really pissed off that Disney decided to axe the awesome Clone Wars as soon as they took over the Star Wars franchise, it does look as though they might be able to redeem themselves with another animated series: Star Wars Rebels. Hopefully the quality will be as good as Clone Wars. Star Wars Rebels takes place between Episode III and Episode IV, which spans about two decades.
Back in 1998 Rolan Emmerlich brought us his take on Godzilla. This film was not met with great praise although I have to confess to being a bit of a fan! In 2014, however, Gareth Edwards is preparing to unleash a new Godzilla film. Fingers crossed this one is a hit! There was a trailer available here but it seems Legendary Pictures are aggressively getting them removed so instead please enjoy this video removed message instead...... LOL
Stuart Beattie is giving the Frankenstein story a new lick and polish with I, Frankenstein as Frankenstein's creature finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.
I'll finish this little round off with Vampire Academy. Based on the popular series of books the plot goes something like this. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, half human/vampire, guardians of the Moroi, peaceful, mortal vampires living discretely within our world. Her legacy is to protect the Moroi from bloodthirsty, immortal Vampires, the Strigoi. This is her story.
