Tidying the house, Pam is discharged & Rangers win

We didn't get too much extra sleep today unfortunately. We'd have loved a few extra hours in bed but that was not to be. Dad had already left by the time we did get up but he understood how things were. The morning was spent doing a massive tidy up of the dining room and making space as we converted it into a room for Pam as she is going to be staying with us for a couple of weeks (at least) while she recovers. It's amazing what you can get done when you focus (even if you are knackered) but we ended up with the dining room looking pretty good. A bed was dropped off by Antony and everything was complete.

We then had a massive waiting game over Pam's discharge and it was starting to look like she might be kept in another night as the team of doctors were slow in getting round to seeing her. Fortunately all was OK and she was discharged. Antony very kindly went and picked her up and she was back with us in the evening.

Despite being knackered we stayed up to watch New York Rangers v Detroit Red Wings. I was a bit nervous about watching this game as the Rangers have been pretty dire so far and with them debuting newly called up backup netminder Cam Talbot was there was plenty to worry about. Thankfully the worries were misplaced. The Rangers came out looking like they wanted a fight and wanted to win. It get a bit tense towards the end as the third period ended 2 - 2 and so it was into overtime. Thankfully everything went the Rangers way and a beautiful goal from Brassard secured a much need 3 - 2 win.
