New boiler day (part 2)

So the saga of the boiler rolled on once again. We were up at 06:00 so that we were ready for the engineer who promised he would arrive at 07:00. Guess what,a  no show! We also had the delights of water on the side and gathering in a nice pool!

Engineer rolled up at 08:40 with a less than impressive apology! Not really impressed. The electrician did arrive around 09:00 though that was a good start. We even only had to have one power outage that was planned rather than blowing fuses which was also an improvement on yesterday!

Things seemed to move on well though. Electrician was done in no time and left. The engineer had originally said that things would be done by 11:00. At 11:36 he was still here LOL!

By 13:30 the new boiler was officially declared open and all work was complete! The house is warm, we have hot water and no leaks or lack of water pressure. It night not look like much but this is a thing of beauty!

There is a downside to all this though. The engineer did NOT really make good afterwards. In fact he left the place in a right old state and we have the letting agency coming round first thing tomorrow to see. Dust sheets were not applied! Here's a sample of some of the stuff that one simply should not leave when finishing work and moving on....
