Kenzie, bad day, Battleground, Haven and Atlantis

I don't think I've mentioned this before but Kenzie has been having some problems hearing. He had been to a specialist and today he went into hospital to have grommets inserted. Everything went well and it was only a day visit so he is home again now. We have to wait a couple of weeks to find out how effective the grommets are. Fingers crossed they help.

Haven't done one if these for a while so I just thought I'd drop in that it was a bit if a shite day at work. The circus was definitely in town and Billy Smart even put in an appearance. I'm pleased to report that we still have some performing seals! *sigh*. It's not all bad though, there are still good things happening and I see hope on the horizon, it's just a long way off!

Got home and fast forwarded through most of WWE Battleground. This wasn't the most amazing wrestling show in the world but it did have it's moments. The Rob Van Dam v Alberto Del Rio match was OK even if it did have a disappointing end. The Shield v Cost Rhodes and Goldust was really good. It was good to be routing for the good guys in a match that I felt I cared about (even though it is just story lines). Sadly the Randy Orton v Daniel Bryan championship match was a travesty. There were some great performances from both Orton and Bryan but the screwy ending meant no overall winner and no champion. REALLY disappointing. By all accounts the crowd were livid. Should make for an interesting Raw show hopefully.

We had two episodes of Haven to catch up on which took away some of the pain of Battleground. Season 3 has a well built storyline that is continuing and developing well. It's not a show you can dive in with this late on due to the linear story arc but it's worth starting at the beginning.

New series time tonight in the form of Atlantis. This show is from the makers of Merlin and Misfits so had potential to be good. We weren't disappointed. It's a fun action adventure show with a modern day man ending up in the lost city of Atlantis. It's been done in the same overrated grandiose style that made Merlin great with a similar level of humour thrown in. What isn't there to like about a "big boned" Hercules! Two episodes down and so far so good!
