The Wolf Of Wall Street

No this isn't a grumble about work, it's a quick review of the film The Wolf Of Wall Street! The film is based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, from his rise to a wealthy stockbroker living the high life to his fall involving crime, corruption and the federal government.

I'll start off with the first warning, it's a LONG film. Unnecessarily long in my opinion. The Wolf Of Wall Street turns in at 180 minutes. We actually had to watch it in two sessions, not sure I could have done it one hit. Much of the film is used to show the extravagance of Belfort's cocaine and hookers lifestyle with the real plot slotted in between. It doesn't take long to work out that it really was a lifestyle so it probably wasn't necessary to film so many variations of it LOL

It's quite a good film and Leonardo DiCaprio is the best I've ever seen him in the lead role of Jordan Belfort. If you dislike bankers, brokers and their ilk before you watch this, you'll be hating them by the end of it. It's definitely worth seeing if you can handle the length (oh matron)
