Disappointing day and time for change #MakeSeatsMatchVotes

It was a disappointing day today seeing the election results coming in. Lots of stuff was said on Facebook but I won't rehash it all on here. I just felt incredibly sad that things changed so dramatically from the final opinion polls to the result. It is what it is though and now we have a Tory government for the next 5 years. Time will tell how that pans out but from what I have seen of their plans for the future it doesn't look particularly great unless you happen to be wealthy.

What did become very clear though was the fact that the First Past The Post system is no longer a good way to decide a government (if it ever was). Look at the voting numbers versus seats won and it's completely bonkers. It is time for change and time for Proportional Representation.

If you have any interest in supporting change please check out the Electoral Reform Society's campaign "Make Seats Match Votes" here:
