Productive day and game six and seven hockey wonders

In what was a welcome change, today was a productive day. Things got done, there was no frustration and I was heading into the weekend happy!

Looks like the company are looking to start phasing in people returning to the office towards the end of this month. They are looking at only having 25% occupancy of offices with returns being entirely voluntary so this pleases me as I am now very settled working from home.  Finished work at 16:30 which is unheard of and so we embarked on the two play off games from last night. These were both game six games so last chance saloon for two of the teams.

First games was Philadelphia Flyers v New York Islanders. I hate to still be doing this but had to support the Flyers *spit* rather than the Islanders *vomit*. This was game six and the Flyers had to win this one. First period ended with the Flyers leading 2 - 1. Second period ended with the Islanders leading 4 - 3. Third period ended tied 4 - 4 and so it was into overtime, Overtime ended tied 4 - 4 so a second overtime beckoned. with five minutes left the Flyers scored to win the game 5 - 4 and force a game seven showdown. Winner takes all for that one.

Next up was Vancouver Canucks v Vegas Golden Knights. Gold Knights were leading this one 3 - 2 so we were fingers crossed that the Canucks could win this one. First period ended with Canucks leading 1 - 0. Second period ended with Canucks leading 1 - 0. Third period ended with the Canucks winning 4 - 0 and also tying up their series and moving to game seven.

Well done to both the Flyers and the Canucks for keeping their dreams alive.

Once we were done we realised the Dallas Stars v Colorado Avalanche was showing live so we jumped into that. This was also a game seven. First period ended with the Avalanche leading 2 - 1.  Second period ended with the Avalanche leading 3 - 2.

At this point fatigue had set in so we went to bed and will catch up on the rest of the game tomorrow.
