Invoking the nerd and Knights Of Badassdom

So today I thought I would invoke the nerd and share some fund stuff. We'll start off with this clever take on the Facebook 10th anniversary "video" posts that are available on everybody's favourite social network.

In Star Wars: Episode VII news the rumour on the street is that most of the major casting has already been done. It sounds like lots of major characters will be making a return of some sort. I've just read that filming could be scheduled between May and September this year giving them a year for post production work. Seems like the release date is now penned in for 18th December 2015.

Argentina-based artist Elisa Naranja Metalica inspires herself from pop culture, mythology and art history to create her art, which is often crafted using toys, trash, jewelry, and plenty of other objects that can be resurrected from the bottom of a drawer. Here are my two favourite pieces:
Darth Vader

My Little Pony

Here's a cool little must watch sci-fi short The Final Moments Of Karl Brant. Set in the near future where experimental technology allows two detectives to bring a murder victim back to life in a digital state in order to question him about his final moments.

Piece de resistance though has to go to this little gem..................

Here’s a painting of Spock. Riding a unicorn. Above a rainbow. Your argument is invalid.

All this nerdiness was rounded off quite nicely with a quite spectacular move. Knights Of Badassdom! Live Action Role Playing never looked so much fun! Three best friends and dedicated live action roleplayers take to the woods to reenact a dungeons and dragons-like scenario as a live action role-playing game fresh out of the mythical Middle Ages. Trouble arises after they unwittingly conjure up some serious evil in the form of a blood-lusting succubus, from the pits of hell. Think Role Models meets Ghostbusters meets Pick Of Destiny!

Never mind Game Of Thrones, this is Peter Dinklage's finest hour!
