The Dolmen @ No. 6 King Street

It was a wet and miserable day today so we were in no real rush to go and do anything. We had a gorgeous fried breakfast at The Sailors Return and then just had a chill out. Lunch was provided courtesy of The Ship Inn once again.

After a nice relaxing day we piled into a taxi with Mel, Mandy, Sam and Dean to head to No. 6 King Street for the first night of entertainment. We had to take a slight detour as there was flooding right by the B&B. Originally the entertainment was going to be provided by Saor Patrol and The Dolmen but sadly Saor Patrol were snowed in up in Scotland so it was down to The Dolmen to carry the night (not that this was likely to be a problem).

There was a lot of drink on offer. There were millions of Dolmen friends there too. The Dolmen as usual just blew everyone away with their wonderful music.

Professor Ronald Hutton wasted no time in hitting the dance floor!

It was a photo light night for me as I just wanted to enjoy the music and my time with friends but here's a few that I took:

As usual with all Dolmen related events we didn't want it to end. It took us ages to actually leave the venue as nobody wanted to go. Reluctantly we made our way out and then hit the kebab shop over the road for some post gig noms before trudging round the corner to get a taxi.

It was a great night but the energy in the air suggested that things were going to get even better tomorrow!
