Weird day, decluttering, Star Wars Rebels news and Rangers beat the Avalanche

It was a weird day today. One of those where there are lots of things to do but you just feel disconnected and find it hard to focus. That's not to say that work didn't get done, just not as much as I would have liked. It all balanced out in the end though and I'll probably burn through a load of stuff tomorrow.

Although this might sound a little odd I had quite an exhilarating experience decluttering one of the drawers in my desk. It felt so good getting rid of a load of superfluous crap that I had just been hoarding for ages. It was only a small drawer but boy was there a load of junk in there. All sorted now though. Next step will be decluttering other places and areas of my life. Little by little.....

In Star Wars related news Lucasfilm revealed a set of limited edition cards that represent the world of Star Wars Rebels. If you haven't been keeping up, Rebels is an upcoming animated series that takes place in the midst of the Empire's dominance. It is set five years before Episode IV: A New Hope. Here are those delightful cards:

...and here's the teaser Star Wars Rebels villain being revealed

For the first time in a good month WWE RAW was watchable and we didn't have to fast forward it. All the matches were good and Bryan seems to be getting a nice little push. Let's hope this is the start of an upturn!

Late night mode was engaged again as it was hockey night and New York Rangers were up against Colorado Avalanche. The first period started with the Rangers coming out all guns blazing with 15 shots in the first 12 minutes. They didn't let up and it was 1 - 0 to the Rangers after 15 minutes. With 2:25 left and another hustle around the Colorado net it was 2 - 0. Rangers completely dominated the first period and it ended with them leading 2 - 0 and impressive 20 shots!

With 6:37 gone in the second that EEK moment occurred as the Avalanche pulled one back to make it 2 - 1. Thankfully one minute later the Rangers were back in control and it was 3 - 1. The Rangers managed to hold firm on a 5 on 3 penalty kill with Lundqvist rising to the challenge with some great saves. The second period ended with the Rangers 3 - 1 ahead.

1:58 into the third and Rangers were 4 - 1! This period was a bit more end to end with the Avalanche putting up a stronger attack. With 1:36 remaining in the period Bard Richards extended the Rangers lead to 5 - 1. The game ended with the Rangers having a convincing 5 - 1 win and their first four game winning streak!
