Review day, Phantom Menace spoofs and Rangers winning streak ends

Well today was overdue review day. It was only five weeks passed the deadline but at least the boss got round to doing it. I can't complain, it was all very positive with lots of good things said about my performance over the last year. There was nothing really negative and a couple of things to work towards over the next year so I was very happy. The only downside was that there were a couple of things I was told we need to work towards that we have already done so it clearly shows that he doesn't listen properly or really have a handle on what we are doing over here in the UK. Oh well LOL

It was also a productive day work wise. Lots of hands on testing and getting the queue cleared down a bit. It's nice to have a good flow of work coming through to keep us occupied.

Amusement was presented to day in the form of two Phantom Menace spoofs which are present here for your enjoyment:

How The Phantom Menace Should Have Ended

The day rounded out with New York Rangers v Edmonton Oilers. Rangers seemed a little rusty for this game and didn't come out all guns blazing as they have in the past few games. As a result they were caught on the hop and ended up the wrong side of a 1 - 0 scoreline. The Rangers did start to up the ante a bit after that with a few good shots but the first period ended Rangers 0 - 1 Oilers. 22 seconds into the second period and Rangers tied it up to 1 - 1. Second period was end to end with both teams having some good chances. Great pressure from the Rangers towards the end of the second but it ended 1 - 1. The third was a bit fraught and again was end to end. Oilers stuffed one in with less than two minutes left to make it 1 - 2. Talbot was pulled in favour of the extra skater but the Rangers couldn't do anything and the winning streak ended with the Oilers skaring out 1 - 2 victors.
